Hey Oompa, I’m a big fan but I honestly think you missed the mark with this one. There’s a lot of misinformation out there, some of it spun up by Russ himself some of it spun up by other creators such as Ben and Danny. There is also a lot of people that want to take him down for their own benefit. Even the comments of videos regarding it turn into an echo chamber from people who have never been there and know little to nothing about the place rather than what is presented online and is basically just part of the experience. I know this because I’ve spent years going down this rabbit hole and searching every angle I could, I initially had very similar opinions to what you have but have been shown the error of my ways. If you really want to know both sides I would also consider contacting Russ himself, he is fairly accessible and I think it would be really cool to see an interview between you two, even if you still held this same perspective afterwards. Anyways keep the videos coming, very entertaining.

The look in the mother's eyes though...that disconnected look in her eyes when talking after going through the manor.

I feel like I recall many people doing videos on McKamey Manor + the documentary and it wasn't easy to just say "I am done" and they let you go.
Also, after videos when people were away from McKamey's clutches the victims that volunteered to go spoke up about how they actually felt. Talking about saying whatever he wanted them to so they could just leave.
Even some people having surgery due to the damage from the manor. :/

So there ARE certain circumstances where you sign away liability in case you die. Any time someone goes into a detox/rehab facility, they have to sign one because detoxing off certain substances like benzos or alcohol can cause death either from heart attack or seizures, etc. However, in this circumstance, I'd highly doubt its legitimacy.
