ОтветитьGreat vlog again😊 iv made most soups , my fave is Roasted Red Peper & Butternut quash, I'll try the mushroom it looks amazing.
When do you start Christmas decorating, now I'm looking forward to see how you do it.😊
Hi Becks I love walking my one year old cockapoo in the woods only problem is because of his colour he blends into the autumn leaves that have fallen 😊 great video bye the way.
ОтветитьOnce again another great vlog!❤
I love a bit of history, autumnal walks 🍂 along with some home cooking 🍲. Thanks Becky 💐x PS..the cap suits you 😊x
Enjoyed your video a lot. I know Lodge Moor and Redmires well as I grew up 10 mins down the road. I had some idea about the POW camp but had no idea how big or how important it was. Brilliant fascinating video and yes Lodge Moor is colder than anywhere else in Sheffield lol. 😀
ОтветитьLove it missus. With attactive lady fantastic cooks around, what nutter would want to escape!!! LOL!
ОтветитьNot Only Was it one of Englands largest POW camps, im led to believe it was one of the largest in Europe, I will stand correcting though on this. My Old Man used to ferry Prisoners around from here, & Became friendly with a German POW, Hence my Name apparently ???, Mum Used to walk the kids up to lodge moor camp when they were very little she used to say.
ОтветитьThanks for a really interesting vlog, Becky. It's hard to imagine what life was like in that camp or any prisoner of war camp for that matter. I also appreciate the research you do for these vlogs. Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьVery interesting Beck. Thanks for this x
ОтветитьThank you for another great video! ❤🇦🇺
ОтветитьAre you by the curb channel sister?🤔
ОтветитьI didn’t know about the camp either, very interesting. The mushroom soup recipe looked delicious and just the thing you need on a gloomy day, heartwarming. Thanks Rebecca.
ОтветитьLovely autumnal walk, fascinating history about tho POW camp but must have been a bit eerie around the ruins. Nothing tastier than homemade mushroom soup ❤
ОтветитьInteresting watch, thank you for the upload. Out of interest where did you park to do the walk
ОтветитьHi Becky, great vid as usual, only a fellow sheffielder can appreciate the area's which you visit.
If memory served me correctly, the old Lodge Moor hospital was nearby, now a housing estate.
Great video. Very lady of the manor with a peaky blinders hat . There's so much out there that most of us never knew existed ❤
Ответить14.50,did I hear you say muggy outside or did you mean dark & murky. Muggy that's how I describe miami building up to a thunder storm..it's got to be cold wet murky weather autumnal or winter for me to do a home made fresh soup,Muggy conditions would be usually home made lemon 🍋 ade.iced lollies sorbet..
ОтветитьI was more worried about you walking In them woods than the video , I will make some of that mushroom soup looked yummy thank you and be careful xx
ОтветитьGood one Becky! ❤
ОтветитьI think you have the same car as me. Just bought it. How are the seats doing with a dog on them. I have a boxer and worried about scratches on the seats😮
ОтветитьHi Becks. ❤
ОтветитьI do like your history lessons with the Hat Of Knowledge I think helped. 😂
ОтветитьMy mum told me stories of how she used to go there as a young lady and chat to some of the German prisoners who were actually allowed out to some extent.
ОтветитьBrilliant again Becks x
ОтветитьHi Becky loved the autumnal woods! Lottie looks fab as always John in stow on the wold Cotswolds I've been on a blind date! I'm 63! He was lovely but..not very tall! See you soon love soup especially making my own xx ❤
ОтветитьAnother great vlog, I don’t personally like mushrooms but love the way you just improvise the whole thing and it did look good 👍🏽
ОтветитьGreat Vlog Beck's . Coincides with Armistice day .
ОтветитьMy Dad was a guard at this very camp at the end of WW2 and in the 1950s when I was young boy I was in that camp when they took all the Huts down and me and some mates found some German badges and coins
ОтветитьI remember the POW camp at Lodge Moor. It was located in a area on the outskirts of Sheffield. You could walk from there to Wyming Brook, a beautiful and unspoilt area of wild countryside.
ОтветитьI think you have a best-selling book in the making. . . . 'Alternative Dog Walks Vol. 1' 😊
ОтветитьGreat video. Looks a great place too. I am too a Sheffielder. Born and bred as they say. Just started doing walk about with a camera too. So if I get a chance I might give this place a visit.
ОтветитьBrings back happy memories as a child, we used to walk up Wyming Brook and either onto the 3 Merry Lads for a drink and bag of crips and back down to the car or up to Stanage Pole to admire the views, can vaguely remember my dad telling me about the Camp and unfortunately my Grandma died in Lodge Moor Hospital of a heart attack when I was little but can remember visiting. It can be a little bit bleak up there as its very exposed. I'm going to have a bash at the mushroom soup in my soup maker (cheat) usually make Butternut squash soup during the winter months, its lovely.
ОтветитьBetter content than your brother 😂😂😂
ОтветитьMy dad told me about this back in the 1970s. All I know is you wouldn't want to spend time up there during the Winter
ОтветитьAnother very informative vlog Becky. Your soup did look lovely, however, I don't like mushrooms. I do make a nice vegetable soup, but put too much pepper in my last one 😞Loved your jumper, looks very cosy
ОтветитьCannot wait for your Christmas offering ❤
ОтветитьI knew about this place since the late 70s
ОтветитьSome of the prisoners built the concrete roads in parson cross
ОтветитьI like the star above your cooker did you know your more safer in the middle of a forest solo than in a city centre my own thoughts might not be fact I always feel alot safer in the forests looks nice in the Sheffield woods 🏴
ОтветитьDon't forget Alnwick, beautiful at Christmas ❤
ОтветитьI used to enjoy watching a tv show called 'One Man And His Dog' presented by Phil Drabble. Years later I now find myself watching 'One Girl And Her Dog' !
ОтветитьGreat video, im from Lodge Moor but live in the north of Sheffield now and love watching anything from home, sime decent knowledge if the vanp thete too, I've learned a fair bit from your video. It was fascinating as a kid walking round there along with the hospital which is now a housing estate.
ОтветитьLoving the cap, fab video mate x
ОтветитьThose shower cubicles are tiny, they're coffin-size
ОтветитьBrilliant, absolutely fascinating and very informative, Thankyou x👍
