Happy you got it working. We have lots of Rode stuff and we love the brand, but the Streamer X was, and still is a disappointment for us. It just does not work. Always have to restart it, and it also keeps restarting itself. We are on the latest firmware with the Rode cable straight into the computer. We tried it on 2 different Macs and one PC. We are returning our second unit today. 😕

great that they sent you a new one, but i'm noticing crazy double frames (stutters) with your footage when you are capturing through streamer x, I have the same issue, I've tried everything, seems like it's either streamer x not being able to truly capture 4K30 OR A7C has a sh*** HDMI out signal which is very possible, it's way worse than the A7SIII HDMI out. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it

what sucks for me, I had two dead Rode Streamer X out of the box. I am on my third try when it comes in the mail. Both wouldn't allow me to update them.

Love to hear your take on the new Mackie MainStream interface

I just bought the streamer x, and its been a very frustrating experience for me. I have a blue yeti microphone and I bought an adapter to connect it to the streamer x, but its not working with streamer... When I connect my headphones i don't hear anything.

I felt quite hyped about this product until I tried it. I sent mine back because when i got it, the software for Mac Os wasn't even out and when it did come out, it was in BETA phase and what's worse, I couldn't even get the unit to do a firmware update through the old RODE software they had. Companies like this can't honestly expect their customers to pay to be beta testers and then not even deliver a Minimum viable product.

I've had nothing but problems with the Streamer X when it comes to video. Among other things changes fps, cannot deliver 4k in Quicktime on M1 Mac Mini, buggy Unify software. Have to restart constantly, settings disappear. Had no problems with the Elgato Cam Link 4K. Røde support has not been of much help, promises and promises but nothing happens. Have lots of Røde products, but this is an alpha product that was sent to the market way too early.

To remove the hiss lower the hdmi input in rode central . This will eliminate the hiss. The preamps are similar to rode-caster pro. The prob is that the hdmi input will try to use your camera’s audio input and causes the hiss

Hey, I experienced similar connection issues with the streamer. After the update, most of the disconnection problems were resolved, but I still notice some noise when both the headset and HDMI cable are muted. It's quite frustrating, especially when working late at night; the noise is so clear and annoying. Hoping for a complete fix soon!

Thanks for the video. So...to be clear, you no longer need the CamLink because your Canon goes straight into the Rode Streamer X, right?

Do you know the impedence of your IEMs? I too prefer to use IEMs and heard that the hiss is caused by using a low impedence device

Thanks for the video. Do you still use the el gato cam link with Streamer X? I have my micro and camera connected to my computer by usb. Do you think it's better to connect them to Streamer X? My devices are Cannon M50 mark II and Blue Yeti

Did you have to use the HDMI Out to connect video to the computer or does it pass through to the USB-C connection for audio and video?

I am so glad that Rode reached out and sent you a new unit. Thats customer service! Truly you have to give them a 10 out of 10 for customer service.
