This film was such a disappointment and lost opportunity. The series has a rich lore that could be explored, this film could've gone back in time to the 1700s to tell the story of Elly Kedward (a.k.a the Blair Witch) or even to the 1940s to detail the horrific murders of the hermit Rustin Parr. Two great horror films could've been produced, but nooooo... let's COPY the original film and hope for the best. The stupidity just baffles me.

I don't think anyone should watch or work for this distributor ...the way they treated those Blair Witch kids... vultures... They can find a way to get those some fair money that's substantial to them but nothing to lionsgate...why don't they do the right thing and then make a big deal out of it... The younger four generations like compassion and justice especially for an underdog that was wronged by a big corporation... They improvised the whole script you made 300 million and you didn't cut them anything that's gross...That's insanely greedy... You can always rectify mistakes after the fact once the bigger picture is there you better pay them kids what they deserve... I'm going to go to the airport and hold up a sign that says don't watch anymore lionsgate movies until they pay UCF students what they were owed fairly not legally... I'm a teacher ...I got the whole summer off

Is this worth the watch

I take it this is the remake. Nearly as bad as the first one 😂 these movies are soo predictable. Group of college friends go into the woods it goes wrong of course.... Lets blame a witch from the 1700's. 😏

I skipped through it and somehow it still made me fall asleep for like 4 times.
you really just saw the entire movie in this trailer.
trust me. the movie is bad, the characters are very unlikable and annoying, you just want all of them to day so the movie will finally end

looking back on this film, it was a major disappointment. nowhere near as simple and effective as the original. the hd made it less scary and easier to make out what was going on. the acting wasn't great, in the original you genuinely felt like these were real people because they talked like them.
