Good video. Thanks. Have a blessed day and keep enjoying your life. It's awesome. Watch all your videos. Learned so, so much from you Bob. You the man. Hugs!
ОтветитьBob, your videos light up my life!
ОтветитьYou do it, EVERY TIME! Rock on Bob, 🤘thank you ✌
ОтветитьThe old school 2+ d mags also doubled as small clubs in a pinch.
ОтветитьGood review, I've owned flashlights that used 18650's but you had to take them out to recharge them.
ОтветитьThanks Bob!
ОтветитьBought my son olight Odin with a back up charger seeing how you pointed out olights possible weakness. (Would have anyways😁)
Stepping out into a threat in the dark and hearing my light click and not illuminate is similar to experiencing a misfire.
I suggest a back up. Light and batteries. One is None, two is...prepared.
I prefer units that don't have ports exposed to weather. I've had issues with cell phone fast charging ports being contaminated.
I hope you do some videos on headlamps. Many are rechargeable, Black Diamond is one brand that's inexpensive for the high quality it is. Asset with them is they can be hand held or hands free. You know. To make easier to pick up puppy poop!
Shooting and throwing things........ Sounds like a gun fight not a flashlight fight...... Don't bring a flashlight to a gunfight. Come on Man..
ОтветитьYou can beat off intruders with a fleshlight also.
ОтветитьI've never gone wrong with Streamlight.
ОтветитьNice vid thank you😊
ОтветитьI like the new intro to your channel
ОтветитьThanks Bob it’s great information I really like the usb chargeable flashlights. I don’t like having all kinds of batteries lying around. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьAny flashlight needs a backup. I carried a Maglite key ring lite for years and it bailed me out many times. Best light there is is yhe one at hand.
ОтветитьI got a steel core Duracell flashlight that doubles as a club. Thing about Duracell flashlights though they only last like 2 to 3 years on average for me before the lcd burns out.
ОтветитьI can tell you one feature I don't need - SOS and STrobe. I hate those modes!
ОтветитьWhew! Too many choices! Thank you for clearing that up, somewhat! Still left with price, and which one that I really need if I had to pick just one. Oh, my!
Ответитьmy personal opinion is no on the price. a mid grade will work just fine. as a man I would say you can never have enough of them.
ОтветитьHey Bob! I have a slightly tangential question. I'm a female who is currently building out a van for solo traveling. I've been considering getting a pair of night vision binoculars, not because I intend to go wandering about at night, but because I think it might be a good thing to have on hand when things go bump in the night. Being able to look into the darkness and determine that some four legged creature is responsible for the noise rather than the far more dangerous two legged variety would go a long way toward easing my anxiety. At least I think so.
So my question is: Do you know any vanlifers who use night vision devices, and, if so, do they consider them useful or a waste of money?
Always have a back up light with you battery also.
ОтветитьMy guy friend had one USB chargeable, only charged once in 5 months but it had a magnet on the side to hand on frig or grill. I need it!!
ОтветитьGreat light..holding the torch ✴
ОтветитьGreat info Bob!
ОтветитьThank you for this info.
ОтветитьWatching you makes me happy. 😃
ОтветитьThanks Bob. I always keep a supply of batteries and flashlights, both & small. Some can also double as a form of self-protection.
ОтветитьBob ONLY YOU SIR COULD GET ME TO WATCH A VIDEO ABOUT FLASHLIGHTS 🔦 AND ENJOY LEARNING ABOUT THEM! NO JOKE BROTHER THANKS !
ОтветитьLove this . Hello Bob
ОтветитьI'm a big Maglite fan! You just can't beat a Maglite! I've got several, 2 of them are over 30 years old. I just changed those from the old-style incandescent bulbs to LEDs. I also have 2 excellent Renogy solar flashlights! They are super bright!
ОтветитьIMO, the Mini-Mag LED AA is the best all-around flashlight;ultra-compact,machined aluminum construction,o-ring-sealed(water-proof),Made in USA. Around$25.
ОтветитьHarbor freight quantum rechargeable light.. they work fantastic very bright and they have adjustable head to go from wide wide beam to extremely narrow beam Plus recharge them with a USB cord never worry about batteries or batteries leaking
ОтветитьThe small tactical rechargeable flashlights that put out 1000 lumens+.. that is in turbo mode in turbo mode usually only lasts for 30 to 40 seconds then goes down to a lower level and you have to hit the button again so don't be fooled by claims of high lumen output 300 to 500 lumens is plenty
ОтветитьStandard alkaline batteries even the best like Eveready and Duracell..LEAK !!!.. I've had a few flashlights in the past ruined by leaky alkaline batteries.. Energizer ultimate lithium last longer have a long shelf life and I have never had one leak...cons? Ultimate lithiums cost more and when they do die they die quickly with no warning..
ОтветитьI like some of the Nebo flashlight products they are reasonably priced and many of them are rechargeable and have adjustable flashlight heads for flood to narrow beam
ОтветитьThere's another kind of Nomadic person that I think should start being interviewed and whose lifestyle should be highlighted and shared with others - that's Bicycle Nomads.
At 56 I've lost my car and my home is going into foreclosure - I'm surviving on a tiny pension that I had to take early at a loss of course, and I find myself with the only alternative of future transportation as being a bicycle or tricycle, equipped with baskets for cargo, and pulling around some type of trailer for a tent and whatever few items I can take with me, along with my tent to live in.
It's going to be a difficult beginning because in my home, everything is comfortable and climate controlled, however, it won't be once I'm on the road and trying to survive and thrive.
The closest your videos have come for Bicycle type-nomads was the few I saw that were of ppl who live on their motorcycles and out of a tent; I like those, but bicycling is much different, especially if the bike is powered by human power alone.
I do love the new intro!
ОтветитьI’ve had the same mag light for 40 years. Are they suppose to last that long?
ОтветитьNicron n7 is my favorite.
Get the head band and belt pouch for extra $11
I'd love a simple and good cap light.
A cap I can put on my head that produces a broad floodlight. Not a strap you need to finnagle but a comfortable cap. Maybe something like a glowing bishop hat haha.
PS: I totally agree with the annoying modes that you have to step through.
💛💛💛
ОтветитьNice 👍 ❤ Flashlights 🔦 😃
ОтветитьI have a Walmart Ozark 750 about $26. I like it for home use. I have an Olight mini on firearm and it is excellent. Lots to choose from.
ОтветитьSome of those handheld flashlights have an unscrewable curved lens that can be used as a magnifying glass. Great for looking at small lettering and pics.
ОтветитьFlashlights can be used for self defense as well.
ОтветитьThis new generation of rechargeable LED flashlights are incredible and truly indispensable especially when the lights go out. I would also want the rechargeable LED that works with the C cabl. I have two that work with the microcharger and they are incredible light sources, but like bob, I don't like that little micro size of charger. Either flashlight will illuminate my entire backyard from edge to edge and the field beyond. I use mine every night when I take my dog out for the last time so that coyotes can't sneak up on him.
ОтветитьI've had my STRION STREAMLIGHT/LED FORE 10 YEARS WITH THE SAME BATTERY. No problems yet. It's the same flashlight cops stick in your face (-:
ОтветитьFrom South Africa ever considered an ultraviolet torch ? Used to see scorpions which glow in ultraviolet light... We have a large assortment of highly venomous scorpions and scanning for them is a huge segment of safety & security when living off the land, especially in desert conditions
ОтветитьOh, You have to try our flashlight! :)
