Idgaf I love eating in a restaurant with my dog do something abt it
ОтветитьCompletely agree!
ОтветитьI agree with most of these I use a harness personally for my dog when it gets him into the mode of getting a walk it's walk time and it can't help with training he's still a puppy with the handle on the back it allows me to have more control over him
ОтветитьThe harness thing is silly because it’s the only way I’ve been able to walk my dog without her being able to slip out of her collar (yes, I’ve tried whatever collar you’re suggesting, she’s just like 6 pounds and frustratingly smart)
ОтветитьIf it's a real big dog can it have a harness
ОтветитьI see absolutely nothing wrong with a harness?
ОтветитьMy dog can’t use a leash or a collar for that matter because he has sensitive skin on his neck area so we have to use a harness
ОтветитьThe harness is so you don't hurt the dog's neck.
ОтветитьYou've have literally just named three of my biggest hates. I run a board and train and had a meet with a 14 week GSD yesterday wearing a harness and a flexi lead. They said somebody told them a collar and lead would hurt their pup, tried to explain a firm collar solid sitting top of neck under ears with a short heel leash would not hurt them. If they don't take my advice on their pups first daycare tomorrow I won't have that pup back to stay or train because why should I put effort in when the owners won't bother. Will become another reactive leashed GSD... my 5 year old mal wears a tac vest because she is leash trained and walks to heel on and off leash her tac vest displays her friendly patches
ОтветитьI feel like you definitely just saw this out in public and got annoyed so made a video about it
ОтветитьI don't have issues with the flexi leash. My dog knows commands so I can direct him from 15ft behind
ОтветитьMy dog likes the harness more
ОтветитьHarness cus i dont wanna choke my dog
Ответить"Top 3 things i hate: straight illegal things"
Ответитьi use a harness to pull my dog away from other dogs cuz shes reactive it has saved other dogs lifes many times and will continue to
ОтветитьFor us we had to us a harness because we had a French bulldog and she could slip out her collar if she tried so we would use it on walks
ОтветитьStop charging an arm and a leg to train a service dog. Greedy people only trying to get EVERY PENNY from a person in need of help 😢
ОтветитьI just adopted a four year old (I swear he’s much younger) American Bull Terrier mix from the shelter one week ago. He’s a good boy only 44 lbs. I’m use to large dogs. I was walking him and came across someone I know from the neighborhood walking his Akita. His dog is massive! He said my dog has animal aggression. My dog was barking lunging and growling at his dog. I think he trains dogs. He said I need to get my dog a prong collar and a leash like his. It has the typical hold on the leash but has another handle below the top hold of the leash. Does this sound right to anyone? Should I get the prong collar? I’d appreciate any advice. Oh he also barks at people but lets anyone pet him.
Ответитьagreed 👍🏽
ОтветитьHe's an ally I'm on the beginning of my service dog journey.
And i'm just excited to have more independence.
We have a lot of rescues and the harness helps us just pick them up. When they get nervous or become rigid with fear. We still try to take them on walks. But the harness is definitely needed to pick them up and move them comfortably. Just physical reminders to keep them in the moment.
ОтветитьDogs choke with their collar on with their lead attached when they pull unless it’s a trained dog you won’t really need to use a harness I used a harness even though my dogs getting to the end at XXL size
ОтветитьMy rotties neck was bigger than her head, tried harness for a while, ended up buying a slip lead/collar helped tonnes
ОтветитьYes but you say this, mine isn't a certified service dog, I still use service dog patches for mine, if you wanna get bitten by a military malinois by all means call me a liar and come near my dog.
ОтветитьOk my family is guilty of the fake service dog thing but we only take him to stores. I hate it ngl he pulls and will bark at other dogs. he’s great with people tho but he will want them to be his main focus and not my grandpa who’s idea it was to get the best in the first place.
ОтветитьHarness are better for some dogs it depends on the breed. I have a one year old Chihuahua and you aren't supposed to but collars on them or any other toy breeds. This is due to them having very delicate necks and are prone to collapsed trachea. I do use one for an identity reasons but not to attach the leash to. She is way more comfortable in a harness and I can still do the same stuff with her as dogs with collars. I have even managed to train her off lead and completed her recall training after only a month of having her. Not only that but collars can cause irritation to the neck and cause fur to rub and in some cases actually injuries to the neck (yes its sometimes from dogs pulling but it can be from owners pulling them to hard for curtain training methods). Harnesses are just more comfortable for them and supports more.
Ответитьuhm sir chill out there is nothing wrong with a harness and the leash
ОтветитьIdk I like my harness, I use it when I run so I don’t pull on my dogs neck on accident. Harnesses are good if used right
ОтветитьHarness give you more control on smaller dogs without hurting them
ОтветитьHarness is easier for strong dogs watch your mouth
ОтветитьThis is very random but your face is very cute
ОтветитьI use a dog harness beacause a collar made it harder for my dog to breathe
ОтветитьMy dog wears a flexi leash but we live in a private toad and we only walk on that street he also wears a harness while on the flexi leash but he is small and he slips out of his collar
Ответитьsmall dogs really shouldn't be walked with a collar. most have collapsing tracheas or will get it with a collar. my dog has a minor trachea issue and never gets hooked up to her neck.
ОтветитьMy bully goes everywhere with me, harness is great for the car and getting him in and out. I only use a flexi on my dogs after they got a reliable recall and are good off leash.
ОтветитьI have a service bearded dragon his name is Rexx tell Rexx you said hi
ОтветитьThe harnesses I have used to help, ' keep dog from getting off a conventional collar. I've encountered very large breeds that were, I'd say, abused. To regain the respect back you absolutely have to protect yourself and others.
ОтветитьAs a professional, I agree with everything but the harness, as a blanket statement. Some dogs do better on a harness for various reasons, and wolfdogs in particular like cats are so smart and intuitive they can quickly turn around and try to back out of it. You walk northern breeds on a harness for the same reason you walk a cat on a harness; cognitively speaking they are more similar in their problem solving and critical thinking and can figure out how to get out of a collar
ОтветитьMy family had to use a harness for our dogs medical needs, it had some sort of skeletal problem, and had trouble breathing
ОтветитьI put my puppies in a harness when they weren’t obedient because I didn’t want them to choke…
ОтветитьThat service dog trick is actually a good idea, I’m bouta buy one. Good thinking brother
ОтветитьI use a harness because it makes it so my dog can't slip out and run
ОтветитьI use the flexi lead and a harness dnc my dog just wants to be pet and show how adorable she is
ОтветитьA Harness gives more grip than a collar and doesn't choke the dog.
ОтветитьWe use a harness because when my dogs do pull it hurts their neck
ОтветитьI feel like there should be laws against fake service dog vests, and if there already are, they need to be more enforced.
ОтветитьI have a dog that is sort of unique. Its a pitbull but like double the size of a normal (size of my 17 year old sister). The collars slip off his neck, is this a proper time to use a harness?
ОтветитьI also hate it when people walk there dog off leash. I don’t care if your dog is train, keep it on a leash ! It’s a the law ! the world doesn’t evolve around you. Other dogs who are on leash can see that dog as a threat to their owner and will have their guard up.
ОтветитьThe harness is better then the regular collar or a choker I will stick with a harness always
ОтветитьMy english bulldog needs a harness instead of a collar cus they have breathing issues as is. A harness in MOST cases should be used for the purposes you detailed because they make it way harder to control your dog if there untrained
