Motor sucks jump to the b or k searies honda
ОтветитьMine is a 2011 will it have these issues it had a look over before i bought it and the seller and my mechanic friend said it appeared okay
ОтветитьWe have a first gen qr and lately I've been lossing power, it's consuming a lot of oil but there no white nor blue smoke at the exhaust...don't know what could be the problem
Also I've been having a bad gas mileage
Thanks man! I'm from Brazil, have a 2006 X-trail with this motor. You help me a lot with this tips :)
ОтветитьNice info the Frontier I have has the updated QR and the alternator is at the bottom under the power steering pump
ОтветитьMy QR is in a 2017 Frontier 2wd KC SV and I haven't driven it much (3300 miles) and have only recently taken interest in 4 cylinder powerplants and read a post that stated there are differences between the QR25DE in the cars and the truck... IS this true and are you able to differentiate them for me. I am beginning the puzzle of learning the pieces and parts that I want to upgrade. auto-trans.
ОтветитьI think my 2012 Altima has this engine, would that shield fit mine?
Ответитьhow do I know which generation I have? got a T30 2010
ОтветитьThis is mostly for the 2002 model correct?
ОтветитьAlso if you could do a balance shaft delete video that would be awesome. Since the only comprehensive videos I can find on it are in Spanish.
ОтветитьMy 06 has been pretty good but has been going through a lot oil over the past 2 years. I changed the valve cover and gasket myself with oem nissan parts. It goes through a quart every 2 months instead of every month. If I was driving the car hard and flooring it, you could smell the oil burning off of the engine if you had the windows down
ОтветитьI own an 02 Nissan Altima 2.5 S and my main concern right now is with the issues of the butterfly intake manifold.. Do I have to worry about that still?..
ОтветитьI have an idle problem, it's running at 1100 rpm. Is that a common issue?
ОтветитьI need one of those heat shields. I burned up an alternator too. Mine has the Nismo header.
ОтветитьThe alternator has never been an issue for me either as most have commented, as a matter of fact the original alternator that came with the car from factory is still good and sits in a corner of my garage after being replaced for an upgrade. I also installed the DC headers when they first came out years ago and still had no issues for years before doing a VQ swap a couple of years ago and I still have no issues with that one either. I've never had any problems with my Spec other than wheel bearings and its been 16 years. I think a whole lot of you are buying used Specs with tons of problems or are stuck with Specs that has taken beatings. Either I am the luckiest man on earth, or maybe I did the factory maintenance at proper intervals at the dealership every time it was due and gladly paid for it - you decide............and no its not for sale!
ОтветитьAm so glad I've got a 2.0
ОтветитьYo!!! Awesome video. I'm switching to an aftermarket manifold on my 03 Altima. I actually had a qr25 seize up while going 80 on the highway and since it was over 10 yrs ago they were still kinda expensive so i went the jdm route and got a qr20. The car has sit for over 5 yrs and im trying to make it road ready and clear all the codes and get it smoother. The last step that I think I have is to add that shield since I read the factory one won't fit and to use a spacer to fool the ecu so I don't throw a code. gonna look into the butterfly screws also. thanks! u got a new sub!
ОтветитьMy alternator exploded too. I have lifetime on it though so I just replaced it. But this is very good to know.
ОтветитьTBH I never knew about the butterfly manifold screws thanks for saving me on that one nice video as well
ОтветитьAwesome information. I'm getting a 2002 SER Spec-v luckily, which has already had the engine replaced, locktite on the butterfly screws and the exhaust replaced. I did not know about the heat or oil issue. You rock!
Ответитьthats why dont by nissan.. aka renault
ОтветитьOk. So how do I remove the catalyst material from inside the header?
ОтветитьAround may this yr I blew my engine after 7 years of driving my 06 Altima... replaced it & just blew it again oil on cylinder #1 😭 ima be rebuilding soon & definitely going to add a catch can locktight the butterflies
Ответитьthanks for the info, i’m looking at an 02 spec v
ОтветитьI bought a heat shiel for the alternator
Ответитьdid you get a check engine light because you removed the precatalytic material?
ОтветитьHi! What is the the budget scan tool for Qr25? Thanks
ОтветитьMy 2015 nissan altima all sudden is notdies accelerating when put in drive or reverse then the battery dies. It doesn't happen while driving only when I've been driving for a couple hours or even a hour. If change it out of drive then back in drive or reverse, the problem begins. Please help I love my car.
ОтветитьI've seen this video before while ago and was thinking about that heat shield, then this pops up.. crazy cool video
ОтветитьI put red loctite glue on my butterfly screws. They will never come lose and it saves u way more time.
ОтветитьI ceramic coat all my headers. It's worth the money
Ответитьidk how i found your channel but you brought bad some memories.. lol. i owned a 02 spec-v back in 04-05.. got rid of it around 2007.. had tons of problems. I remember i had a popping rack and pinion that was replaced under warranty.. and the noise came back. lol.... and ahh yea.. .BUTTERFLY screws.. lol..
ОтветитьWhy not just wrap the exhaust manifold and call it a day
ОтветитьIm having some p0128 problem. Replaced thermostats but still running the same code. What can it be?
ОтветитьTengo el problema p0455 como lo arreglo es el problema que tengo en mi nissan alguna ayuda. Gracias buen video
ОтветитьBefore I installed my headers I (wrapped them) now I hardly got heat coming for them 🤔
ОтветитьWas the cat issue fixed on the 2003 sentras
ОтветитьThe pre catalyst going into my engine cost my over $4000! The inherent radiator/transmission problem cost me another $3000. Sadly Nissan is at fault but refuses to admit their errors.
ОтветитьHow could I buy one of those alternator heat shields today? Their website seems like it’s shut down. if someone could help me out I’d greatly appreciate it. I just starting an 02 ser build
ОтветитьHow do I get one of those heat shields? The link js down and I can't find one anywhere
ОтветитьYo soy taran de maceta
ОтветитьI am trying to fit a later model qr25DE thats after 2007 engine.... into the early T30 X-trail, I want to know if the bell housing stud patterns are the same?
ОтветитьWhy would you put clothes away after the washing machine?? Lol
ОтветитьHave you ever had no start/ no crank?
ОтветитьWhere did you get the intake kit?
ОтветитьI have a '18 Rogue and buddy you do not understand how much you are helping me here.
ОтветитьThanks for the video and information. I bought a 2005 nissan x trail SE . It has the same engine. I have very little knowledge about car engines.
1. It seems to get very hot inside the engine, especially close to the alternator. The temp gauge on the dash goes upto 50% and stays constant. How can I know if it is getting too hot. Can one put some kind of thermometer in there.
2. I put the fan on and turned the temp control knob to max cool without turning on the ac. It was a warmish day and I only drove around 45 minutes and warm air coming through the vents ..a slight burning smell. This is what alarmed me and trying to figure out if it is too hot. Hence question 1.
Appreciate your reply.
Btw on this vehicle engine was replaced . One of the issues on previous engine was screws coming of as you described.
I qlso would love to see the intake manifold and screws that need to be lock tited.
Ответитьhow do you get into the intake manifold to tighten it?
Ответить
