If I remember correctly Loretta Lynne was 15 and her husband was in his 20’s

My Father was born in February 1904. My Mother was born in June of 1914. My oldest sister was born in December of 1924. This means that my Mother was eleven when she became pregnant and she was married as soon as she became 12 in Ontario Canada to a man who was 10 years older than her. They remained married for a lifetime and had a total of nine children. I am the eighth child born in 1950 and my younger brother was born in 1956 so my mother faced a total of 30 years of child bearing and my father was still receiving baby bonus when on old age pension.

Almost a century later and child marriage is still legal in much of USA.

Was a decent movie. However, it did seem like one of those period “need for federal oversight” government propaganda films. This is back when the Feds wanted to intervene with state’s rights.

Marriage at a young age was not that uncommon in the rural areas of America up until the 1940's.

You all realize that Mary was only 13 or 14 when she married Joseph and got pregnant with Jesus, right? Christianity is foul or maturity ages have increased because your kids aren't as intelligent and mature as they used to be.
