Experiential learning is a method where learners gain knowledge and skills from experiences outside of traditional academic settings. This concept was formulated by educational theorists like John Dewey, Jean Piaget, and more recently, David Kolb. Dewey first introduced the idea that education should be rooted in real experience. Piaget added that learners build knowledge through hands-on activities. David Kolb further developed this into his theory of experiential learning, which explains that learning is a process where knowledge is created through the transformation of experience.
