Inside The Episode: Poopy Gets His Poop Back | Rick and Morty | adult swim

Honestly episode was bad. Felt like a bad family guy episode. Heres the basic synopsis... Guy is depressed about divorce, guy's friend makes him feel better by going out taking drugs and drinking, but not in the fun sci-fi way one would expect from a Rick and Morty episode. Likewise the episode wasn't even funny, which is a real tragedy. The cool wacky characters we've grown to love felt like they had nothing to do. You could literally take Bird Person, Squinch, and the Gene out of the episode and nothing would change . The climax of the episode was rick going back to the garage and then realizing he wants to go back and help his friend. It just wasn't that entertaining.

Adult swim stepped up, the line up is awesome lately all nights. Thanks fir switchin it up, even on saturdays. Except for don’t give me like more than an hour of a show unless you’re doin a Saturday night marathon. Sry for bein a dbag. Bring back some more Saturday night classics. The flcl collab is super impressive, you could continue doing that with so many classics, even before flcl. Or even if it’s just replaying the classics. I watched the first ever broadcast of adult swim n it was awesome n I feel there’s lot of us out here

I love R&M but I’m sorry, this episode sucks. Ricks voice is bland and emotionless.

This was one of the worst episodes I ve ever seen, and the new voices had nothing to do with it. If that is the season opener, I don't have much hope for the season itself.

Okay, the voices aren’t quite there, but thats because Im used to Justin, once I’m a few episodes in I probably wont be able to tell any difference and be used to it. This episode was pretty great and serves as a good restart.

This show is ruined poopy sounds like poop I'd be like if they recast peter griffin or homer simpson or stan smith or bender im not excited at all for this show anymore at least there's five new episodes of aqua teen coming in November aside from that adult swim officially has nothing else worth watching

Time and time again I am amazed at how sensitive so many people are to whether or not a certain actor is part of a story.

I used to be a huge rick and morty fan. But its become tiresome now. Its become clear to me that the show lacks a vision, at least nowadays. I just want them to wrap up the story at this point so theyre not continuing to beat a dead horse with this series. Im tired of the pointless escapades, 4th wall breaks, and its self deprication towards itself. It just shows a lack of belief in its own characters and set up at this point and its not funny anymore

If every episode is this weak the series will die. Literally nothing happened. Some guys got drunk. They stretched a side quest into a full episode

PB voice is absolutely off, the VA keeps dragging out every word like Roiland did but it comes off as unnatural and forced. R&M voices sound fine

when I first watched the episode I didn't even notice Morty's voice being different so they cast that voice very well imo but the new voice for PB is not it he already annoyed me before but now I hate him even more but he's not a main character so as long as he isn't in a lot of episodes idc now for Rick I think the voice is close but it's clearly missing something they could've cast an impersonator and I think a lot more ppl would be happy but the voice isn't bad so I'll get used to it

now to actually talk about the episode: it was forgettable but fun I don't hate it but I feel like the first episode of a new season especially with how the last season ended should be a bit more exciting? also I'm really surprised that the team behind Rick and Morty decided to go ahead and put Rick in the spotlight for this first episode after Justin Roiland was fired pretty brave of them cause after seeing the trailer with Beth and Summer I thought they were trying to postpone the reveal and hide it kinda idk

overall decent episode can't wait to watch the rest of the season, so glad this show is still continuing on without Roiland
