Recently, I have introduced new image preprocessing function - "Correct Perspective" for Image Reader. This feature helps to work with incorrectly rotated or skewed text blocks. It attempts to detect such text block automatically and then aligns it properly. However, auto-detection works only if text block is different from background, but there are a lot of cases when it's impossible to achieve.
This new extension, which I am happy to present today intended to resolve this problem. User can precisely select poor quality text block of custom shape and then pass it to Correct Perspective algorithm, which then will automatically rotate and align the text to increase recognition quality.
