I agree that it is really off-putting to be rushed out the door. Guests should be permitted to take as long as they like, within reason. No one wants to dine where the motto is "Eat it and beat it."

You two have to chew that food a little bit longer. It’s not even in your mouth 10 seconds and you swallow it. Savior the taste!

The restaurant is called Pasta Eater and was only opened in 2019. Unfortunately it wasn’t there when I lived in NY 24 years ago :(

I've worked in the service industry for years and I have found most German restaurants to be "average with terrible service." Glad I'm not alone on that.

It‘s evil to kick you out of the restaurant, seems like they only want to make money- I‘m ashamed of being from Germany better go to an Italian restaurant or whatever. But I know places in Germany where they‘re friendly and relaxed

I have been drinking Acqua Panna water for DECADES! Is a wonderful water, the cost does not matter!!! Just dislike the plastic bottles, it was the blue glass bottles I adored the most!!!

I’ve lived abroad. You get so excited when you meet someone from your own country. Its crazy. I’m from the prairies of Canada and I met a woman from Nova Scotia and we ended up having lunch together. Anyone from Canada knows how huge our country is, so it’s really rather funny. You just want to talk your own language and be with someone who loves your home as much as they do.

I thought Germans typically have long meals. Regardless, it’s exceptionally rude to rush your customers out of the door from nearly the moment they sit down… not to mention continuously try to take their unfinished (and pricey) meal from them! I don’t think I’d handle that very well. I don’t normally bite or stab servers with my fork, but I’ve never had a server try to take my food from me either.
