Quick review: Metroid Other M is a fun game but its progression is based on asking Adam for permission to use a weapon and makes Samus look like a sissy bitch instead of a hardened bounty hunter that single-handedly ruined two planets ecosystems. Twice.

Honestly skyward sword is a great game and has some of the best dungeon designs. I do think that the motion controls work better on wii version than the switch version though. Maybe I am wrong but the fact that the sensor bar was used to auto correct the gyroscope in the wii motion plus meant I only had to calibrate it once and it was fine.

As someone who grew up with the Wii, I'll never be able to hate anything about it. This was my ride or die back in the day.

metroid other m was acutally a very good game in my opinion. kept me wanting to keep playing and had some replay ability. i liked it

Wow. These videos are so informative. Can’t believe I just got my first Wii console at age 47. I also can’t believe that I actually did an internship at electronic arts, but that was definitely a few years before the Wii came out!

Nintendo tried to compete with Sony/Microsoft by making the N64 and the Gamecube more powerful than the Ps1 and Ps2/Xbox Original but despite having more powerful consoles they lost in sales. Nintendo makes more money with underpowered consoles and relying on exclusives. Gamers buy Nintendo consoles for Mario and Zelda, no one gives a fuck about how well Skyrim or Doom runs on Switch.

If this video’s anything to go off of Scott knew the general release year of skyward sword HD. That terrifies me why was he planning ahead that far what were his goals?

So damn underrated! It was the real home arcade with DDR, light shooters, tennis games and so on. And that tank game is so damn addictive!

I got the Wii for Christmas 2006 and loved it, but after a few years I remember disregarding it entirely because I thought the only type of games being released for it was shovelware. There was THAT much shovelware.

As a kid in the late 2000s, I kept begging my parents for a Wii for a very long time. Then my parents finally got one for the family...for Christmas 2010. We skipped the Wii U because our Wii was still new, and gradually played more PC games as the Wii aged. Then in 2017 we got a switch ostensibly for the whole family but I'm the only one who actually plays it.

Sometimes I have some unusually good luck with certain things. I found a respectably good condition Wii Console when we parked outside the local Tender Centre, just dumped there. It had no cords or controllers, but I wanted to look into the item, so I inquired about it to the clerks there. They said I could have it for free! Immediately after finding it, I took it home, connected some cables to it (I had the cables to another Wii there), and turned it on. It worked perfectly, and even had a copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl inside the disc drive. I mean, who would dump a perfectly fine Wii in the middle of nowhere? Luckily I managed to get it easily!

I payed $50 to get my wii fix to let it collect dust and buy a GameCube instead

The wii as the first console I owned for myself (not the first I played on, I experienced many a GameCube and n64 at friends' houses), and I still have a lot of fondness for it. It still gets used pretty regularly too, my sister and I picked up punch-out secondhand like a year or 2 ago after somehow missing it when it first came out and we had a blast with it.
