Thank you, ALL, for these nice comments. I learned this piece for my first recital, when I was 12. The stretch came easily to me, because my Left pinky is slightly crooked and allows me to reach farther than an octave on the piano. The piece is one of my favorites.


The best way to learn how to play with this kind of feeling is to practice in the dark: You can't rely on the music, your hearing becomes more acute, so you can concentrate on your tonal quality, more. Also, your breathing becomes more relaxed, which will allow you to expand your dynamic spectrum.
