Tariffs are taxes on the citizens of the country imposing them. So between this and the actual income tax increases on the majority of Americans in order to pay for the tax cuts to the 1%... our taxes are increasing by 20-50+% depending on how large a part of your budget consumer goods is (which for most people make up at least half.) So much for Republicans being "against high taxation". And we don't even get social services paid for by these taxes because all of those programs have been getting the axe!

These countries have put tariffs on importing our goods for years. It is about time we do the same. America is the biggest buying group in the world. The price we are paying currently for foreign goods is the price plus the current tariff. Not sure why prices would go up in our country! Other countries should see huge price increases.
