I never used that breath holding mechanic, it kinda pissed me off the first time I used it because it's on the same trigger as your scope and you have to half press the trigger or slowly release pressure on the trigger until it does that little zoom thing, but its a very tricky amount of trigger depression, if you barely release it just slightly too much you release your zoom trigger completely. Although I don't really use breath holding in any game I just get used to the sway of the weapon when the character is breathing normally.

Really the one thing that pisses me off with this game the most is its really lacking extreme long range optics and variable zoom long range optics all together. They have a couple scopes with 2 zoom levels but none of them are worth a shit at long range. they only have variable zoom optics that are medium range, the best variable zoom they have is 1x-6x, and the one medium range sniper optic with the red dot on top but it doesn't have shit for long distance shots. Like wtf dude I want one that goes 6x-10x, 20x-40x, or 10x-20x-30x-40x or something like that. It sucks you gotta use a 338 or 50cal with the best fixed zoom scope that should be on a 308, it's only decent at like 400m maybe 500m or 600m if you have really good eyes. It's just silly with the amount of customization they couldnt make some better scopes that see out to 1000m or even 800m. As someone who really enjoys extreme range sniping it just pisses me off. I just switched from Sniper Ghost Warrior to breakpoint and the lack of decent scopes is just lame af, even wildlands had way better scopes. Oh but don't worry they got like 20 different reddots and reflex optics to choose from, even though the majority of the close range optics all function exactly the same with different skins. The only stand out close range optics are the eotech with magnifier or the 1x-4x elcan, or the 1x-6x Russian medium range optic. How hard would it be to give us something like that for sniper rifles. I tracked down, bought, and unlocked all the long range optics hoping at least one would have a variable zoom or at least a really long range zoom, but nope. The map is huge but good luck sniping from farther than 400-500m. Also it doesn't seem like there is any ballistics like elevation or windage, if there is the scopes don't magnify to the point that you can see far enough to notice it, and the scopes have mildots and drop calculations but I've never had to use them even once, just put your crosshair on the dudes head and he dies when you pull the trigger.
I really wish the people who made sniper ghost warrior contracts would do a game like this with actual sniping ballistics that require calculations for long range shots. If the Ghost Recon devs did a collaboration project with the Sniper Ghost Warrior devs it would be my new favorite game. Especially if they kept the vehicles and the close/medium range combat and stealth dynamics from Ghost Recon but with an option to play in first or third person and added the sniping dynamics from sniper ghost warrior. The air vehicles could also use some improvements, like making them handle more like Arma 2&3 or even Battlefield 3&4. I wish I was a multimillionaire I would personally finance that game concept to be built.

This game is good and the people saying it’s dogshit haven’t played it. Don’t listen to them. Sure it’s worse story wise than Wildlands but gameplay wise it’s better in like every way.

I just play this game with a sniper and a pistol nothing else , with the sniper having a short range sight as well and long I don’t see the need for ar’s or subs as long as your careful and strategic.
