Memories ❤
ОтветитьThe good times back in the 70’s 😊
ОтветитьPoco was right there in the mix with many other prolific country rock bands of the era: New Riders of the Purple Sage, Pure Prairie League, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker band, The Allman Brothers and a lesser-known group out of Tucson called The Dusty Chaps. My older brother Jeff, God Rest his soul, turned me on to all this great music, after moving to the southwest Tucson area. He also turned me on the country swing music as well, with Asleep at the Wheel and Bob Wills and Texas Playboys. These groups had several things in common what with that great overall country rock sound with the pedal steel, acoustic guitars and electric guitars driving everything. You had great song writing/story lines, fabulous vocals, with too many names to list ie. Robert Dawson, Richie Furay, Paul Cotton, Rusty Young, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill, Dickey Betts, Duanne and Greg Allman, Doug Grey, Roy Benson, Bob Wills and too many others that I can't remember. Hey but 68 and still kicking in Northern California.
ОтветитьPoco is so much better than the shit head eagles.Eagles pilfered two of Poco's members and that tells the story of how good Poco really is ! Poco forever !
Ответить"Suite: Judy Blue Grass"
ОтветитьRIP - RUSTY & PAUL
Ответитьheard bad weather after buying the album in the fall of 1971. just as good now as then. Killer pedal steel.
ОтветитьPoco was a great, extremely talented group that never received the commercial recognition it deserved.
ОтветитьI was fortunate to have seen them back in the day, and still have their Greatest Hits album. A must have, imo.
This peticular song brings tears to this old man's eyes, knowing that there wasn't anything I could do to keep you here, and still alive today.... and that rain he sings about, is my tears falling down, from missing you here now
Beautiful song.. gorgeous intro. Don't even get me started on the steel. 😢❤
ОтветитьPoco has so many great songs but this one maybe on top.
ОтветитьIf there is something like a perfect song, this is it !
ОтветитьRIP
PAUL COTTON
This song still breaks my heart.
ОтветитьRight on and Richie !!!
ОтветитьI remember buying this album.
ОтветитьI`m 69 yers old and this was the first song that I ever identified with. As a 15 year old kid with my first love telling me she liked someone else floored me. I enbraced this song for a couple of months. I listen to it today and, as a former drummer, still cannot get over how GOOD this band was and how real their songs were.
ОтветитьThis one will always hold a sacred place in my heart. The longest most difficult goodbye.
ОтветитьSylvan Theater, DC , early 70’s. Sweet memories.
Ответить"Although the band charted a handful of Top 20 hits, overall their Top 40 success was uneven, and many of their most innovative records were commercially unsuccessful." I never understood this, a band of this caliber who never got the recognition, I would blame that on mainstream, I guess these lads didn't fit the mold, well I and a great many others they fit our mold, and it's been a great ride, RIP to the boys, the best of POCO..
ОтветитьGreat Richie solo.
ОтветитьI LOVE this song, saw them playing live a number of times at Wildwood Springs Resort, a small old lodge in Stealville, Missouri.... Standing 6 feet away!
ОтветитьThanks for writing the song Paul RIP Rusty...and now 3 months later. RIP Paul
ОтветитьRichie playing lead 12 string guitar.
ОтветитьGreat song
ОтветитьGod, What a classic this is!!! Poco filled a spot in time like no one else could. Ritchie Furay to Paul Cotton, and Bad Weather!!! Brings back wonderful memories!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьPoco es la mejor banda de este tipo de música, con canciones perfectas, como esta misma. Los llevaré siempre en mi corazón y en mi reproductor.
ОтветитьSeen them with my brother Pops. Such good memories ☺️
ОтветитьMiss you Paul😭
ОтветитьI saw them in Wittenberg U's fieldhouse in 1972. The sound in the building was so bad, and POCO was way too loud for the room. Couldn't even tell what I was listening to. Shame, cuz I really wanted to see them.....well, I did SEE them....
ОтветитьThank you Paul and Rusty for bringing your talent to make this wonderful song !! [and others] It is a jewel !!!!!
ОтветитьRIP Paul Cotton
ОтветитьRIP Paul Cotton.
ОтветитьI just heard today that Paul Cotton died. Damn it.
ОтветитьRIP Sir Paul Cotton. I'm devastated. Richie may have founded Poco, Rusty stayed until the end, but Paul created the soundtrack to my youth.
ОтветитьAbsolutely love this group seen them years ago still one of the best concert I saw.
ОтветитьDoesn't get any better than this!! Truly!👍😎
ОтветитьThis song makes me feel like i'm in Oz, and don't have a pair of ruby shoes!
ОтветитьWhat was the point of The Eagles when there was already Poco.
