I'd love to meet somebody who's actually into chess who would call a tournament game a "match". Just nitpicking, this show was terrific, but even the most basic understanding of chess would have eliminated some trivial mistakes. No actual chess player, or anybody who knew anything about chess - even a BEGINNER - would have used the word "match" there. This demonstrates a bizarre oversight in the show, one that wouldn't have cost even a penny to remedy. Kinda bizarre, really. Again, I really do like this show, a lot. But this mistake doesn't even make sense, and correcting it wouldn't cost anything. How did this get past quality control??? It's the equivalent of calling a dollar a penny: wouldn't most viewers who know anything about US currency have a reaction to THAT mistake? Well, this is just that basic an error when it comes to chess! It's calling a dollar a penny! It's not just wrong, it's absurdly, bizarrely wrong.

That stainless steel airpot coffee dispenser is tripping me out. Didn’t those come out like 20 years ago? The Queens Gambit is set in the 50s and 60s.

I love that she explained the game to beth instead of sabotaging her in some way since she is her oponent

I felt bad when they remet years later and Beth was so out of it at the time, while the other girl was excited to meet her again.
