Really enjoying your videos! You seem supper chill
ОтветитьMy grandpa always said: If you ever die, you'll leave here the way you came, with nothing. The coffin doesn't have any cupboards or a safe that you can access after your death. So live life in the here and now.
ОтветитьThe banks fooled you into getting into debt, very few people used to have debt; it was looked down on, they have made cheap credit addictive for their own benefit.
ОтветитьThink twice! Europe is on the downfall due to massmigration forced against the will of the vast majority of the native european people.🥲
Ответитьabout the water in France: there was a time, not not too long ago, not all water was drinkable: there were signs 'eau potable' and 'eau non potable'.
ОтветитьA car for freedom? You can walk everywhere, or cycle
ОтветитьDon’t know why americans have that attitude, the lady said its because they live in such a big country thats so isolated. I live in Australia, we don’t think like that!
ОтветитьCome to Europe. You can make make videos from the other point of view.
Not just reacting but being - behind the scenes ;)
If I'd live in the US, I'd only drink bottled water. Why would you ever voluntarily drink fluoride.
ОтветитьI worked for and with very wealthy people and 98% of them don't show off. You would not be able to mark them out on the street.
If you show off here in Austria you mostly get labled a fake. We don't talk about money, we just own it.
Er. The US is sandwiched between Canada and Mexico and just north of Brazil, several smaller countries, each different from the other. And then the rest of American countries to the south.
ОтветитьThe bottled water thing is a thing in Italy too, where the water coming from the taps is universally excellent (it is monitored). That is a created need.
ОтветитьAbout freedom, in France we usualy say : "My freedom ends where that of others begins."
ОтветитьA lot of America is pretent rich. I say this because you might have 'things' but all of that is set against medical, university, car and house debt.
A homeless person with 1 dollar is richer than alot of Americans who are in debt.
THE MOST INDOCTRINATED PEOPLE ON EARTH !!!
ОтветитьThey have a good point. The "Freedom to" or "Freedom of". The first one means, that without the specific freedom you are restricted on all other things. The seconds means, that others are restricted to take your freedom on a specific thing.
ОтветитьTrue, brainwashing is the American way of life.
ОтветитьWater is clean in most of the usa. Bottle water is a scam in most of the usa.
ОтветитьUsa public transportation system issue because of size of the country.
ОтветитьFrance is not a religion freedom country. you can not cover your hair in public if it part of your faith.
ОтветитьNo live in nyc most people do not have a car. We use nyc subway.
ОтветитьSize of the usa people live 10 miles from a supermarket in France you live 10 minutes walking from a supermarket. You can not compare the two.
ОтветитьThey do not have faith in Europeaning countries.
ОтветитьWe have that in the usa go to chruch and you have that community side.
ОтветитьYes less working hours because less people. And you do not have so many different faiths and languages. But all of Europe try to get into american ivy league universities. So how is your educational systems better.
ОтветитьHealthcare in the uk it can take 5 months to get slot to see a doctor. In the usa 5 days the max to get a slot.
ОтветитьWhen you need life saving surgery where do world leaders go yeap the usa . Not france. So how are they better then?
ОтветитьIn USA, the degree of freedom you have correlates with the amount of money you have.
ОтветитьJust don't post something offensive in European countries or you'll end up in the gulag.
ОтветитьWait until they hear about Scandinavia,Benelux, southern Germany/Switzerland and east Asia
ОтветитьYour northern neighbor ( former neighbor) has: Universal health care- the US does not. ; a highly educated population- the US does not- we know the US didn't singlehandedly win WW 2- the US would never admit that; Canada is respected internationally- the US is not; we have legal abortion- the US does not; Canadians are welcome as tourists- Americans are not We got rid of the death penalty almost 50 years ago as did other democracies- the US still uses it We have 12 months paid maternity leave plus paid sick leave- The US does not. We have strict gun laws so gun crimes are almost always criminals using guns smuggled from the US.
ОтветитьEuropeans are also buying less day-to-day stuffs using credits.
I mean, WTF is a credit score?
There could also be the idea of freedom being represented by way of the values that are given to certain aspects of life. Being less dependant on resources is one, rather than material accumulation, is a very important distinction. But there is another option, move to Canada. You can rush back in a car if you can't handle how much better life is there already. I'm Dutch, not residing in Canada.
ОтветитьHow are Americans isolated? Invented Google, invented Wikipedia, in Europe we learn American history, we learn about other continents, other countries, what are their languages, their culture, their food, their monuments, if Americans are isolated is because they do not care for anyone but themselves. Its a me! me! culture. Its a bout making money, success, "Keeping up with the Joneses", as for freedom, freedom means not being paid to protest, we protest because we are free to do it, democracy? Unless you have a universal healthcare you are not a democracy, in Portugal even a homeless person will have a heart surgery if they need one, or brain surgery, and yes we do have homeless people but for various reasons like addictions or mental health, not because they can't access accommodation the government has 48h to get you a place to stay. America is living in the shadows of how great we were in 1950.
ОтветитьDutch guy here who works as a sub contractor in construction. I own my own home plus some rental properties, own 2 cars, 3 motorbikes and a boat. I take 5 weeks holiday in the summer and spend 4 of that each year in Thailand with my family, then I have 2 weeks holiday over Christmas. I have zero debt other than a little left of the mortgage on my main house. Life is good here, streets are clean and safe, services and healthcare work effectively and our communities are healthy. Americans only have the perception of freedom… they need to wake up!
ОтветитьWealth in Europe cannot be seen in most cases. While the average savings a US citizen has is roughly 3000 dollars, against 20.000 dollars in Europe. Wealth is not what you show off, it is what you own. It’s what keeps you healthy…
ОтветитьEuropean wealth comes in more immaterial ways: education, healthcare, food quality, free time, vacations.
No flashy baubles, yet it does make life way better.
Poland here: 1 year fully paid maternity leave + another 2 years unpaid if one wants to stay home with the child. Free education, up til college, even if you want to become a neurosurgeon. Super safe streets. If you get sick - you don’t drown in debt. Excellent public transport. A lot of social benefits if you have kids = no starving, homeless kids (of course there are exceptions but I mean that with all the money you get just because you have a child (til the child is 18) - you would really have to WANT to starve them.
ОтветитьAmericans are more brain watched and stuped then North korean
ОтветитьFreedom is a very misleading sentence often... and is misused for propaganda...
The freedom to drive my own personal car prevents the freedom to have proper public transport or clean air in a city.
something to keep in mind if you see that word is getting used to justify other means
I sit on my balcony in Austria, the temperature is 25degrees the sun is shining, my view is over 20 miles over a valley to the next mountain range. I am a retired Brit living 50% of my time in Austria. The point is not that America doesn't have marvellous vistas or amazing weather. My point is that my freedom to universal free health care exists (UK free healthcare reciprocates with most European healthcare systems, free of charge to the individual). We had a tragic school shooting last week and the whole of Austria is stunned, as is Europe, these things just don't happen here, or if they do it's once in a blue moon. We are free from fear and violence. People are friendly and not polarised into camps and though it exists in some areas racism and prejudice are the real exception not the rule. Our freedoms are as stated so eloquently in the video, freedoms from, not freedom too. We are the Lands of the free, unfortunately America has lost this!
ОтветитьEuropeans is not a universal thing - we are very different countries..
ОтветитьA matter of perspective: Foreigners preferring to buy bottled water, might rather indicate that they don't like the quality of USA tap water, probably because they were used to better quality tap water where they came from.
ОтветитьAnd what smart couple in that interview. I can see why they migrated 😁
But they observed the European culture very well: Most of the people are relatively thankful and grateful for, and enjoy what they have, rather than be envious for what they don't have. It is often even considered to be vulgar to show of wealth. One can enjoy wealt, for sure. But others don't have to know it. Also, they hit the nail on it's head, when they distinguish freedom to do something, from freedom fom things one doesn't want to be confronted with. As (in my experience) most people here, I rather have the last, even at the cost of the first.
In europe bragging and showing off is considered tacky and vulgar. You do not talk about money. There are more interesting things to talk about.
ОтветитьPeople in Europe think different. There's a really different basic thought noticeable when you meet someone: in the US you ask "How much you make an year?" (And it defines you), but in Europe you ask "Who you are?" or "What you do for life?" (meannig that the focus is in the person...).
ОтветитьNew comers probably buy bottle water because your water taste like xxxxx, been in the US several times.... I don't like your water, and I don't know what you have put in it 🤔
ОтветитьThat's easy to understand what's wrong with your water. It's private.
In Europe most of the water is municipal, so the city/state owns it and does not sell it. You have to pay as well but mostly not for the usage but for the infrastructure.
I always find the American claims that they get paid more than those in Europe hilarious. What Americans conveniently forget is deductibles. Take how much you pay in health insurance for your family out of your pay every month. Take out how much you pay in car insurance out of your salary every month, remember car insurance in the USA is about 10 times as much as it is in Europe, I pay £290 a year for a fully comprehensive car insurance with protected no claim's bonus. Take out how much you are paying off on loans for your family's education, take off how much you are paying for medicine every month, especially if you have a long term condition. Take 5 weeks holiday from your salary every year, take unlimited sick time deductions from your salary every year. Yes, we have lower salaries, and we pay higher taxes in Europe/UK, But we don't have all those deductibles. Our health care is paid for in our taxes, our car insurance is a lot cheaper as it is highly regulated by the government, are prescriptions are very cheap or for many long term conditions free. Sick leave is not deducted from our pay, we still get paid. All in all, Europe and the UK people are far better off than most Americans. That's how we afford to go on a holiday to some far away place every year, we have more disposable income and our employment laws protect us from exploitation by huge corporations. It's also why many of us now say there is no way we will visit America, it stands for everything we have fought against to gain some of the best employment laws in the world.
