Loved the tips man, we just started our channel and are trying to do some veteran interviews as part of the channel content.

Great insight. Another thing to add is that while keeping your camera shooting to the side and you the interviewer is in front of the subject, do well to sit down while doing that. That allows the subject to have an eye level that doesn't seem like he or she is looking up.

Also to communicate - if you are punching with a 4K shot, you want to put it on a 1080p timeline right? That way, you don’t loose resolution from stretching.
