How I could save the position to a database, say , for saving an user ordered list? i'd have to have a position field to fill in with the {order :position} value (checked by an update method on the model?) something on these lines?

Thanks Pete. Good stuff! I followed along (with a few minor tweaks to fit my app). Only thing is, sometimes (but not all the time) my list does not persist the drag correctly. Have you ran into this? Not sure how to troubleshoot it further.
