Not for the faint hearted or financially challenged . Definitely check inner sills and chassis box section , rear and front sub chassis . I’ve got a 2003 S Type 3.0 V6 and it looks perfect inside and out . If you keep it well serviced it drives nice and has some power too . Just had mine welded including sills , box section and rear sub frame and the cost £1500 . A lot of money , there are actually mot’d s types for sale less than that 🤔
ОтветитьMy well cared for 2001 model is great. Don't mind the interior at all. Cheers
ОтветитьThis is an excellent review. Just about every issue you have pointed out happened to my 2005 V6 S Type. So I believe you are very accurate and give very helpful info on S type.
ОтветитьVery good information I understand a lot more now also the electric handbrake is a problem causing problems thanks I didn’t make the sale sad because i like the looks
ОтветитьI really like this car, I was recently gifted a 2006 s type with 122,000 miles. Drives smoothly and my interior has held up well, especially after 122,000 miles. However, as a 6'3" man, there is absolutely no room whatsoever in the front or back seats. Even when I lean it all the way back, my knees are pressed against the glove box no matter what I try. I wouldn't even think about taking a 20 minute drive somewhere. guess the car wasn't made for 6 footers lol
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьNever had any issues with rust, 2001 pre-lift Jag, so if it is the case, its not everywhere.
ОтветитьI just picked up a 2005 S-Type R [Supercharged]. 86,000 on the clock. I got a fantastic price on it--& a mini vacay to VT, NH & ME to boot! Couldn't be happier!
ОтветитьJaguar x type and s type are 2 of the worse car in history. They break non stop. If u want a car to drive for farts inside a city once a week to get some dumb blonde ho who has no clue it is ok. But if u want to drive, just DONT buy them shits. I had one with 80.000 km it overheated and got thrown 2 more engines on it and at least 40 broken parts in 3 years. It didnt take a month not going to the service. I bought for 3.000$ and threw 10.000 on it in 3 fucking years then i sold it for 500$ or less. Worse cars on human history
ОтветитьAll cars , all makes have serious issues. What's new ?
ОтветитьThis is an awesome and informative video man! Nice job!!!
ОтветитьMy s types trans and rear subframe both went bad as well as an overheating problem lol
ОтветитьVery very good job ! Thanks for so useful infos. Could you please tell us with a bit more precision whrer are located the 2 bolds on the Automatic gearbox that can get loose and create issue with the shift ? thanks !!
ОтветитьThanks a lot for this great video. Quite complete and helpful. I really like this car although it is quite old. Most of my friends think I should buy a recent car, but I like to own this and keep it as long as I can as a vintage car. I have another car (2006) which I use everyday. Do you think it is a good idea to acquire a Jaguar S-Type? Cheers!
ОтветитьHaving problems with restricted Performance issue changed the Catalytic converter and changed around not reading a coil issue don’t know what to do giving me a rough drive suddenly help !!!
ОтветитьNeeded a car..old van just aged me..lol.
Took a chance on a 2000 Jag S type..112,000 mi. Guy took great care and totally serviced it before selling. Just bought it but I hear a rubbing sound from tires( front) what is that? Kinda weird getting it into Drive( automatic) but doing ok. I love the feeling you get driving it. Classy car! Just pray, during this never ending pandemic, nothing major goes wrong because won't be able to fix it. So, I gambled and now we'll see. Great low price, local guy and he swears this car is sound. Checked the Vin# and no recalls or any issues so far, clean title so...away I'm going. Getting it registered tomorrow in NC.
OMG..a mystery/thriller writer driving a Jag...how cool is that???!!!
Very comprehensive review. Very well done! Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьMario vs Luigi ... no thanks
Ответить'05 4.2 Bought Jan 2020 with 77k for $6000. Great daily ride. Only repair needed was a mouse chewed coolant hose. And some wild engine codes being thrown off by a loose negative terminal on the battery. The dealer I bought it from recently offered to buy it back for more than I paid. No thanks.
ОтветитьDo they have aluminum body? Rust was a problem with my 2002. Salt during winter!
ОтветитьI like the first interior way better then the later. Old interior looks classy art-perfect, the later looks outdated today like your grandma, shows how wrong the 2000's were. This should ba a classic, beware.
ОтветитьI’m about to buy one of these Jaguars but I think I keep my BMW I think it’s far more reliable and it’s definitely a lovely ride thank you Eddie 🇬🇧🇬🇧
ОтветитьI like the old dash design
ОтветитьI've had four S-Type 3-.0 petrols
Lovely cars, drive beautifully, in the lap of luxury, bargain of the century prestige car, do your homework but don't hesitate in buying one. You will be delighted
Can you please do Jaguar XJ (X350/X358) thank you!
ОтветитьMy jaguar s type 2003. It usually start every morning and after running for some time and I off the ignition and it won't start again until the vehicle is cold again. What may be problem?
ОтветитьI needed this.. Have someone trying to sell me one that's well maintenance I was just afraid of the maintenance pricing
ОтветитьOld video but I just bought an 03 S type with 160k. Runs really smooth but needs a little maintenance. I never knew jags ride so smooth, I'm in love already.
ОтветитьBrilliant mate, thank you :-)
Ответитьthe s type 4.0 is a great car. period
Ответить5+
ОтветитьI got a 2001 and dat shit brings me hell everything he said was spot fuckin on listen to him I swear and also this car is a pricey one to fix no cap
ОтветитьI have been driving a 2003 for 14 yeas without any problem what so ever only service and tires and battery. it still has factory breaks and sparkplugs with a 102K miles now.
ОтветитьWhat the fuck kinda accent is this?
ОтветитьThese types of model cars are for the people that knows luxury and classical standards that does not fade. A good investment is designed to preserve for they are assets that are statements of definition and excellence.
Ответитьi’ve had the 2000 s-type v6 model with the beige interior, for me it was pretty much dead reliable. you need to be aware of the size of the car because some times you will bump into something but thankfully it has parking sensors. the wooden trim on the dashboard might crack, the windows regulator might fail or the mechanism might “unstick” from the window so the mechanism goes down but not the window so u have to push it manually up and down. maybe the door handle might break. and it’s a blast and relaxing to drive. it might not have bluetooth but it’s dead easy to retrofit something like a amazon echo car, so even smart. repairs might be expensive where you are ( not the case for me) but with proper, regular maintenance, it will run without problems for long. mine has almost 300000km and nothing major has gone wrong other than basic mechanic maintenance. sometimes you will hear a small humming noise with the suspension but isn’t really bad
ОтветитьGreat video. I'm looking at a 2007 S-Type right now and this was very helpful. Thank you
Ответитьmy father loves his 2007 S-Type. relaiable ford duratec v6
ОтветитьI just found 2008 jaguar s with 58k miles. Guy wants 10k for it. It’s black on black fully loaded. Is that a good deal
Ответитьvg info thx
ОтветитьS-type 2.7 d executive cambio automatico del 2006 ....perfetta in rapporto prezzo/prestazioni.
ОтветитьDude, you are the same dude as Visio racer, right? Are you from Czechia or Slovakia?
ОтветитьThis man has all the accents at the same time
ОтветитьObjektív és nagyon érdekes bemutatása a Jaguar S-type modelleknek !!!
Ответить2000 Jaguar S-type V8 was my very first car. Black with chrome waffle grill and 18in chrome wheels. She was a head turner for sure, I’ve never gotten more compliments in any other car. I was scammed and sold a lemon but I was determined to bring that car back to its glory. Rebuilt trans, new radiator, timing belt, thermostat, & numerous hoses. Definitely put more money into the car than it was worth but my love for this vehicle was worth more than any dollar amount. Still got her in the garage but the bumper is all smashed up… (another long story about that)
Ответить💖👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💖
ОтветитьOwner of a pre face-lift jagg with the 4.0 v8. I still use it as daily driver. No problems with dash rattles, rust, sagging headliners, gearbox or engine after more than 380000km. Still runs like new. Bought it with 123000km on the clock. So pre face-lift is reliable too. Maintanace is the key. Never changed any electronics or engine components just regular maintanace.
Ответитьfrom 2003 are a lot better and especially the 3.0 version are very reliable in combination with low consumption on public roads. the versions before 2002 are not recommended. The 2003 versions have
some electronic points may be weak. especially the heating regulator sometimes breaks down. the brakes aren't too great.
the automatic 6-speed gearbox is from ZF and shifts buttery smooth. otherwise a great car where you can expect many compliments
0h my goood....this accent is sooo terrible . Very annoying .
