The RX 5700 in 2024

It's a great card if you're not super anal to gaming in ultra settings and with ray tracing and all of that hi-end stuff. If you're looking for budget options, this is a very good item to invest your hard earned money.

Enabling FSR2 in BG3 makes a big difference. Went from 1080@60fps to 1440@80fps with no noticeable loss. This is on an i7 6700k system with 16GB RAM. Didn't have much hope for this card to last long but it is aging well.

What version of cyberpunk is that? 90 avg seems crazy, mine gets like 70 in 2.13 with no FSR at 1780mhz 1080p high. With a 3600X, 32 gigs at 3600, rebar and gen3 nvme lol

You can play 2560x1440p with FSR on with this card 60+ fps and also depending on the game

I have the 5700xt, it's good but it runs best limited to 60FPS, Doesn't play nice with ROCm.

I bought one to pair with an i5-9500 for a friend's build. Works great and plays everything he throws at it, even works well with a 120hz monitor at 1080p!

Have the 5700xt but only working with and old i5 and 16g ddr3 😅. Plays most titles pretty well horizon 5 does good on ultra settings. Will be trying black ops 6 tonight lol

Just no, 6650xt or stick with old outdated miner cards like the garbage rx 580 rx. This is pure trash. It is not even close to "near modern" architecture. The 6650xt is the next gen budget card that will hold fast in 1080p until 2030. The 5700 is pure trash like the 1660 super and 1660 ti. I will back this receipts as a dev. We know you do not want current dei games but this is more than misleading,

6700xt/6750xt if you can or rx 6800. There is no Nvidia card that will hold beyond 2027, avoid this card like you would avoid aids.

I do appreciate this notes there are more cards better than this and there are, every card post this card are better than this, avoid 5k series card at all cost as the 5700xt is cheap right now and over heats at every corner.

since early 2020 5700xt + 3700x on 1080P 27" monitor and this combo still chews trough games on ultra settings no problem, some less demanding games on Ultra FPS can go up to 120-150 but usually stays somewhat around 80-100 with majority of games. The only thing will make me upgrade on the same mobo is drop of price on the 7900 GRE and I would upgrade the CPU to 5700x3d. This upgrade should hold me another 4-5 years on 1080P and if I ever build again after that it will be new tower, new PSU new everything, been using the same tower and PSU since 2008...

the rx didnt go above 120 130w why?

I'm currently rocking a MSI MECH 5700xt, performs like a champ and I love it :)
if anyone's considering this exact model, beware of noise, it gets quite loud so an undervolt is mandatory

am still rocking a Sapphire Pulse 5700XT on my spare rig. Still good for 2024 at 1080p. Just be realistic in your expectations.

sappire pulse is the better 5700xt , i get more fps and pushing on aaa games , you may find ir works better on 1440p as in principle that what they were built for you should try it.

I like the 5700 enough to have a couple of RX 5700 XTs on the shelf for future budget builds.
They are really inexpensive, especially the Dell models taken out of office PCs and doesn't even have a backplate.
Real nice ones aren't too expensive like the other one I have is a XFX THICC III Ultra, a 3 fan with a BIOS switch.

I have the exact same one but not xt...and after having a bad time on a similar setup, I can confirm that it doesn't work on "metro" "forza horizon" and many others.
I've even seen Jay and hardware unboxed have similar problems on benches with this card.

Recently retired mine because of the loud blower cooler on the reference version, but it otherwise performed well. My 6750 XT isn't as much of a drastic upgrade in performance as it is for noise, very satisfied so far.

Nice video bro... I used to have a 6600 which I swapped for a 3070. One tip - your 5600X can run faster. Enable custom PBO and it will stay at 4850mhz all the time in gaming...

Are you planning to flash an xt bios? It might be good content to compare the before and after results.

its a great card. it's a perfect match for a 12100f.

On rx 5000 series gpus in some games like alan wake 2 you can get a decent performance boost if you use vkd3d on windows or proton on linux

Love the 5700/XT, used to use them in flip builds, they have gone up in price now though :(

5700 uses a lot less power compared to 5700xt

But seriously like what you said here when I game I prefer higher Quality Image over Max fps at lower image quality too, I don't play FPShooter Games where Max fps is good for reaction times but prefer Sim Games like ETS2 & Train Sim where being able to read the Guages clearly with consistent Frametime is more immersive than raising the fps but needing a HUD to enlarge the info.
The other newer games I like besides other Sim games are Mutant: Year Zero & similar top down turnbased games, plus my retro games on my XP PC.
