Generate the code for your Volkswagen radio
The radio code is a security feature for your Volkswagen radio. It is a 5-digit code that is unique to your radio and can be found in your vehicle’s owner’s manual or on a card that came with the vehicle. If the battery in your vehicle is disconnected or goes dead, the radio will lock and will require the code to be entered in order to work again.

To enter the code, you’ll need to turn on the radio and press and hold the “AS” button until “1000” appears on the display. Then, release the button and enter the 5-digit code using the number buttons on the radio. Press the “AS” button again to confirm the code. The radio should now be unlocked and fully functional.

It’s important to note that if you enter the code incorrectly too many times, the radio will lock permanently and will need to be replaced.

Additionally, if you don’t have the code, you can retrieve it from your local Volkswagen dealership by providing your vehicle’s VIN number, or Serial Number of the radio.
