She is so correct 😊
ОтветитьI've lived in Latvia for over 30 years. Believe what this lady said.
Ответитьif 50% are russian they will start wanting to take over.
ОтветитьSounds so refreshing to live in a place where people are blunt, sincere, and honest.
ОтветитьHalf Latvian here, but living in the US. Very proud of my Latvian ancestry! ❤
ОтветитьLatvia is poor with its natural resources but seems to have a friendly warm baltic people in the region, greetings from Iran
ОтветитьThe Latvian people had been brainwashed to hate anything that has to do with Russian
Ответить2 nd time visiting Latvia and the people are very grim and rude. No warmth....they dont heat the busses and they all poor.
ОтветитьHello from Poland. I freaking love Latvia. I think it will grow faster economically than other european countries.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьShe spoke English better than native speakers.
ОтветитьYou just described 90 percent of eastern Europe and all of their people. The more you move south though, the less reserved people are.
Ответитьi love latvia especialy kris
Ответитьwe have 4 types of pancakes in LV
ОтветитьVery informative. I was waiting to hear you say Latvian Orthodox as one of their religious denominations.
Ответитьthanks now i understand a lot better,.
ОтветитьРаньше Латвию юзали немцы, шведы и советы. Теперь их юзают европейцы и американцы)
ОтветитьYES! That "how are you doing" thing and other american stuff is confusing
ОтветитьWell said!!
ОтветитьAlso if a cat 🐈⬛ crosses in front of you, it’s a warning. Do not go forward , turn around and go another way, or terrible things could happen . If your unlucky enough to hear a cooktoo bird, count the amount of cookoos it makes, that is how many years you have to live. If you get a cold sore or a wart, or illnes in the body, rub it with a peace of bread and throw it to the birds, after they eat it, it should get better. If you’re outside and you hear a crow chirping at you, it’s a bad spell they’re putting on you, just tell the crow to shut the fuck up, it will stop and fly away, it works every time . I learned all this from my Latvian granma.
ОтветитьI want to go stay SO BAD!!!
ОтветитьThank you for the video, very accurate description. I have been there twice and going again next year, I really enjoy Latvia and the people there.
ОтветитьThis is a great video that sums us up so well! It’s so interesting to see how we are viewed through the eyes of others/Americans.
It’s also funny that I resonate with that description so well. I didn’t know I’m superstitious until I moved to the US (an international community in US) and people were laughing at me.
Great video! Thank you. Just visiting Latvia and this is really helpful to understand locals.
Ответитьpoor country because of usa
ОтветитьSo true, so precise and funny 😊 thanks!
ОтветитьU R right about the food...In Lithuania is the same
ОтветитьGirls are friendly with Foreign men because there's a shortage of males in the country
ОтветитьI like to call things what they are and sincerity is highly important to me and I'm only 1/16th.
ОтветитьI wish I lived in Latvia my sister brought back so many cool pics of the beautiful country 😞 I live in Texas
ОтветитьAs an American who has Latvian friends and have been to LV a few times, I would say a very accurate description. On the surface at first glance, the place might seem drab, but once you really get the know the people and culture, you will really get to like the place. Like you said, they don't mince words, but is that really a bad thing?
ОтветитьI've recently started learning the Latvian language and so this video helps me better understand the Latvian people. They sound like very nice people and perhaps after I master the language I would like to go to Latvia to meet the people in person. Thank you for this most interesting video.
ОтветитьSounds like I'd fit in there. As an American, I make a lot of flowery small talk but it feels exhausting sometimes. It's what is expected... And, people seem to say they care and I love you too much, I'd appreciate it if they really meant it! I need some depth. I love my country men but it seems like we are performing sometimes just to interact. Thanks this is an interesting video.
ОтветитьI loved learning this! My grandparents were Latvian and this helped me understand them so much more. I wish they were still here. If I’m wishing for things, I wish I would have taken interest in my heritage when I was younger and they were still around.
ОтветитьNice "Nameja gredzens" ring!
Ответить🇱🇻❤️
Ответитьlatvia looks a lovely place
.. can't wait to visit later this year 🤗
For someone who is half Latvian, this is all true.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьLatvia sounds like my kind of place....
ОтветитьActually, you are so beautiful ❤️
ОтветитьYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES SO HELLA ACCURATE. I think it is the first time I hear such an accurate description. gg. well done
ОтветитьI am a Norwegian American. Loved this video, sounds so much like the Norwegian culture.
ОтветитьLooking at the Latvia related videos, their population ratio , population growth and phycology of Latvia girls and boys about relationships.... Unfortunately, I think this country race will extinct soon 😔💔....
Ответитьthis is all facts, latvians are so straight forward.
ОтветитьSmall talk is not european thing in general. Interesting observation
ОтветитьWery good observation. We say what we mean and mean what we say👌😁👍
ОтветитьI'm Polish and I see the resemblance in like 95% of these habits :D
ОтветитьAs someone who recently moved to Germany from Latvia I've been missing home a lot sometimes. This is the most respectful and accurate description of Latvia/Latvians I've ever heard. I assume it took a lot of time to gain this much knowledge about my country, I agreed with everything she said. I absolutely love my culture, the food is amazing, the nature we have is incredible although it's not the most diverse I love the amount of forests we have and how much we appreciate nature and everything it can give us, I love our folk dances tautu dejas will always have a special place in my heart, our holidays mean so much to me. Līgo is the happiest weekend of the year for me, I love how everyone comes together and celebrates summer solstice staying up all night drinking kvass and eating Jāņu siers. There's so much history to discover in Latvia, we have such beautiful cities, yes the people can be cold at first but when you get to know us you've gained a friend for life. Visiting my home makes me so incredibly happy. Latvia will always be my favourite place on earth. Dievs svētī Latviju!
ОтветитьTrying to explain all this to my British girlfriend for 10 years now and she still doesn't understand me. She often thinks I'm acting deliberately weird or stand-off'ish when it's literally just a cultural thing. Spot on, this perfectly and I mean PERFECTLY sums up Latvian culture. Nailed it down to a T
