Do you write a synopsis and treatment every time you start a new project?

Is synopses one page? And a pitch few sentences?

I disagree on the "one trick pony". You have to stick to a genre and get known for being good at that. If you jump around it's harder to market yourself. This applies to anything creative. Once you're established, sure, you can try this or that, but I can't think of a notable film maker who has been successful at it. When Hitchcock did that dark comedy it didn't go over very well.

"Female driven Action Films" give me a break....

Synopsis is typically one sentence to summarize your film, not necessarily the whole paragraph

If after they've read the synopsis and still want a treatment before they'll look at the screenplay, screw them.
