Sonic 3 & Knuckles: The Challenges: Part 1: Time Attack 1&2 (S-Rank)

After playing through the original Sonic 3 & Knuckles and a Zone layout hack called D. A. Garden Edition, I've decided to give the game its 3rd focus through yet another cool hack that it has.

This "The Challenges" hack reconfigures almost every single level in this game into specialized rules and conditions. As such, the Chaos Emeralds and their Special Stages play no part in this hack, so all of the Giant Rings are gone.

Each challenge will also give you a rank once you've finished them, with S being the highest rank you can achieve. This playthrough will be about me beating all of these challenges with S-Ranks.

To start off, I play through Time Attack. It's the most basic of the challenges, as you just have to use Sonic to get to the end of the level within the time limit. Of course, the faster you beat it, the better your rank will be, so just focus on getting to the end.

Time Attack 1 takes place in Angel Island Act 1, while Time Attack 2 takes place in Ice Cap Act 2. As usual, these levels are beaten after you beat their bosses.

It appears from the main menu that there are also Time Attacks 3 and 4, but I won't be able to access them until later.
