As much as I realize what a train wreck a sequel could be, I can't help but be curious to see these guys together again. The kid in me especially gives a thumbs up to the idea.

Twins is a great movie. Better than serviceable! It wasn't supposed to be a "laugh riot." It was more of a dramedy with a lot of heart. One of my favorite movies period.

I really love this movie, and I know this isn’t the popular opinion, but personally speaking I prefer it slightly to Ghostbusters. That said it’s a hard NO for me on the sequel.

Can't believe an English man could recap Twins without any love showing for JEFF BECK in the bar band

Fun story about this movie: This movie was released while my parents were dating & they saw it together. Well, some time later they were at a party playing pictionary (the game where you have 60 seconds to draw a picture & guess what it is) & my mom was given the word "twins." So, she drew the image of Arnold & Danny posing like in the movie poster & no one (not even my dad) guessed that was what the image was supposed to be. It's a story that almost 40 years later still gets told at parties, family gatherings, & anytime we see a movie with Arnold or Danny in it.

Twins was the 2nd movie I saw in theaters. I loved it then and I enjoyed showing to my kids a few years ago. But it should remain a standalone film. We need to get back to letting imaginations take center stage rather then rehashing OG’s from the 80’s and 90’s.

Arnie & Danny being twins somehow is a hard sell, lol, but somehow worked! It's actually a great movie, with a happy ending, that although cheesy, still works. No need for a sequel, as the happy ending wrapped everything up pretty well. Where would they even go, with a plot, for a sequel, after all these years, anyways?? R.I.P. Ivan Reitman, & Kelly Preston.

Truly original ideas are dead in Hollywood in favour of remakes, franchises and reboots. The latter is much safer from a bean counter perspective

I've always enjoyed Twins. While it's not as good as some of Reitman's other movies I feel that some of the critical reviews are a bit harsh. I can still remember watching this movie for the first time when it premiered on UK Television. I watched it with my parents and we all had a good time with it. I would say it's worth watching for the performances of the two leads alone.

movies in the likes of Twins and A Knight's Tale seem bonkers to do because they have a weird combination of elements that on paper alone seem like a long shot. by some miracles of, i don't know, great chemistry among the cast and director, great set environments, etc. everything just sort of clicked and worked.

i'm glad that they didn't have a sequel because i don't think the magic can be replicated.

You can upset as many people as you like... as long as the majority find it funny. The minute you lose that, you've essentially 'fallen off the tightrope'. That's the risk/reward of edgy comedy, knowing where the line is and knowing how much you can step over it and get away with it. Some comedians for example, have lost their sense of where that line is, and they know it, so knowing they've lost that sense makes them lose their nerve, and instead they complain that 'everyone's too sensitive/pc/woke nowadays blah blah'... Nope. You just don't have the courage to push the envelope anymore and you can't admit it, because it'd mean your career is over. Blaming 'woke' is pure cope

I feel that everybody becoming a critic is what happened to movies. We gave the studios ammo to say "no" to ideas by making it so easy to find a bunch of people online hating on any similar concept. They can't even make a movie for kids (See Minecraft trailer) without the world trying to pad their pockets by saying something six months out from release is "like, SoOoOoOo TeRrIbLe". they already don't want to invest in new ideas.

"Some things just weren't made for me" is becoming an outdated turn of phrase somehow. its wild.

The answer is Arnold got old and...well I feel like Danny could still get it done. He's gotten funnier as the decades pass
I heard there were plans to do a sequel but it was awhile ago. Those guys still keep in touch and work together for charity events and stuff.
But Dumber and dumber proved you can't recreate that magic with old men. No matter how much we want it

Back then, I always wanted to see a sequel to twins if Eddie Murphy was going to play the third brother of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Julius and Danny Devito’s Vincent and that would have been cool because it made me think of the golden child with Eddie Murphy and the tagline, Eddie Murphy is the chosen one. But after coming to America 2, Eddie was busy so instead they got Tracy Morgan instead which I didn’t think was a good idea because he’s not that well known unlike Eddie who is more famous than him. But when Ivan reitman died along with Kelly Preston it was for the best for Ivan’s son Jason to cancel the project. Personally I think Arnold and Danny should do another movie together whether it would be a Batman movie in which they played their iconic villains Mr Freeze and the penguin, or a similar action comedy like twins but also like wise guys meets raw deal. Since they’ve both done gangster movies.

Twins was the best movie that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito ever made with the late Ivan Reitman who directed movies like ghostbusters 1 and 2, stripes, Dave, kindergarten cop, Father’s Day, six days and seven nights, etc. To me, I grew up watching it along with wise guys with Danny DeVito.

Twins is such a fun, wholesome, delightful film. Arnold and Danny DeVito were both great in the film and honestly I think what made the movie work was the underlying level of sweetness to it. Yes, it was funny, but the touching story to it made it such a wholesome film. Great 80s film.
