I Got Baked I love it man!
ОтветитьHad to baked twiced but it worked lmao😂 can’t believe that worked
ОтветитьPutting the board in the oven melts the solder connections to help them reconnect a loose connection on the pcb.
ОтветитьAbout 2 years ago I picked up this hobby of trying to fix broken TVs between my family and friends and whatever whatever I can see on the side of the road on one man's trash is another man's treasure I got about 150 tconboards sitting in the storage did I thought they were were bad I wish I would have known this hack before I went and bought new t-con boards so tonight we're having a t-con BBQ Texas style😂😅😂
Ответитьbest explanations all around-from latches that need to be pressed to release mother board , to advice how to bake it . Two thumbs up.!
ОтветитьMy LG 43 inches 4 years old, no picture but sound. Took out the mother board and spray with warm water. After bathing , dried it in the sun for 45 mins, . Put it back and switched on, the TV is totally dead now 😮😢😢
ОтветитьWHY not just buy a board- and live and let live- how do you know its just the board itself vs LED?
ОтветитьI just found this video and I am here wondering if anyone has tried using a microwave oven for this?
ОтветитьI was skeptical, but when my LG LED TV stopped turning on after 10 or 11 years, I figured i had nothing to lose before hauling it to the electronics section of my dump. Put yhe motherboard in the oven at 385 for 5-10 minutes, and it worked!
ОтветитьI’m assuming this might only provide a temporary fix than a permanent solution. My TV was working well for 4 years straight until today, I was watching a movie and the screen died. I believe the backlight has finally exhausted itself and died. Very unfortunate, very interesting, I might have to find another TV monitor.
Ответитьmethod worked thx
Ответитьtried it and didnt work at all, just starts blinking 3 times red light as before
ОтветитьI had tried everything. Bought a Google TV and no way could I set it up after hours of trying and crying. So I tried this, and so far the old tv is running like a charm. So now I have a brand new piece of junk that we can't take back cause we caught the edge moving it and cracked an edge.
ОтветитьResoldering the connection. Every component on the board that was connected using solde, heats up during the use of the tv. Over heating or long term heating and cooling can make a break in the soldered connection. By sticking the whole board in the oven and heating to high enough temperature to soften and melt all the soldered joints, it's like rebuilding the board.
ОтветитьIt worked for me for my LG 47LW5700! Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьSomehow, actually putting the motherboard in the oven worked! Bought my TV about 8 years ago. Suddenly hit with black screen and no audio. Pop it in the oven for 10 minutes and now it's back! I do wonder if simply reseating the cables/connectors is what did it but hey ho, my TVs back again. Thanks!
ОтветитьIf the fix requires to open the TV, is not worth it, my TV is not even 2 years old and this bs happens, LG is awful DO NOT BUY LG
ОтветитьPlease how long has it worked?
ОтветитьWhat causes this to work? I have a OLED...
ОтветитьI have to wonder what does the baking actually do? If you can identify which parts its affecting then you can replace those individual parts.
ОтветитьI unlpugged my LG and took a blow dryer and blew it in the vent holes by the motherboard and let it get pretty warm.. Then immedialty plugged it back in and turned it on.. I did this 3 times and it finally worked!!!!
ОтветитьIt worked! Thanks so much 😎
ОтветитьCan blower work ?
ОтветитьIt will work for a while but will comeback again
Ответитьi did it and had a great TV pizza for lunch mmmmmm
ОтветитьBGA (ball grid array) chips are notorious for the solder joints cracking, reheating in the oven temporarily remelts the solder back together, but its a dodgy method and can melt the plastic connectors.
ОтветитьI tried this but when i powered back on , i saw different shaded columns across the screen and some lines. Could this be a connection issue or the motherboard not cooled enough yet? Can i try put it in the oven again?
ОтветитьIm just going to the local pawn shop and getting one for 25-50 buck's. Its just a tv i use for a bedroom
ОтветитьMine is 15 years old and stopped powering on today. I think we may have gotten our money's worth out of it but will try as my wife loves to buy new stuff. Thanks.
ОтветитьHave a 10 year old lg 55 inch tv
The other night my wife was watching and the picture went off
I looked around and tryed every troubleshooting there is
I saw your video and told the wife
We gave it a go and MATE it worked
So far so good
Thanks bro
Tried this method today and it worked!!
ОтветитьUsed to do this to the old ps2 or ps3,s! Made alot of new friends that year! Lol
ОтветитьI just did that to my dead LG, and it wokrks . Thanks
ОтветитьGlad I've seen some of your other vids or I wouldn't believe this at all
ОтветитьLast night my 2013 LG LED 50-in TV suddenly developed the blank screen. Sound worked but when I shined a flashlight through the screen I noticed the picture, so I thought okay let me give this a try. 10 minutes to remove the back cover, another 5 minutes to remove the motherboard. Followed the directions exactly and I cannot believe it worked. Was actually looking at new TVs yesterday, so hopefully this will last a while. Thank you for posting this video.
Ответитьomg! Dude, this actually worked for me. TV was powering up but the display was totally dead. Opened it up and baked both boards, it had two. Sure enough the damn thing powerered up no problem. Saved me a £1000 for a new TV. Nice job.
ОтветитьI will try this now and hope you’re not just messing with us man.
ОтветитьHello Sir
How to fix lg tv 4k 60fps black screen.sound but no image .think you sir
Solder melts at 360F so by setting it to 385 your basically softening the solder up and potentially fixing a connection that isn't making good contact. This was a common fix for many xbox 360 consoles for a while where you would purposely let it over heat in order to melt the solder. Sometimes it fixed it for good, at times it worked temporarily, or not at all.
ОтветитьDear chris. It works at first. Then i went to sleep. The next morning dead again. I must have missed something? Any suggestion? Kindly help
Ответитьwtf
ОтветитьI used oil fryer instead , thnx its crispy picture
Ответитьso my stupid LGTV i think have the same issue, plugged it in, turn on, nothing just black screen of death, no sound... nothing.... so i guess, i can try this magic and see......
ОтветитьThanks for sharing such a simple but very effective solution, surprisingly many people don’t try to understand the basic procedure, don’t listen properly & don’t note down key points, l am happy that you also show in very nice & very simple way how to release board from all cables which many times become problem to just release them, & before throwing tv in the garage, nothing wrong to try this zero cost simple technique. Thanks for sharing. 👍🙏
ОтветитьStill works in "2023"
Ответитьmy parent r dumb and they blamed me bcoz of this idk why my parent r stupid I need the smart parent who can actually understand and I want new parent
ОтветитьOmg it worked !!!!!! 😂😂😂😂 thank-you soooooo much mate !!!!!
ОтветитьI picked up a 55" lg i saw on the side of the road wouldn't power on . Can't believe this actually worked but it did!! Thanks so much for making this video. Free tv!!🎉
ОтветитьSo basically LG doesn't do a quality solder bath and operational heat causes board components to start becoming de-soldered. The "fix" is to reheat the solder so it goes back to where it belongs.
I guess there's a reason why they cost less.
