Varys showed compassion for Ned Stark when he was imprisoned and soon to be killed, in the exact same position as here. Varys deserved mercy.

He was warned and still betrayed her. He used and then disgarded her so he got his Karma. What Tyrion did to him reminds me what Varys did in regards to Ned Stark.

Tyrion’s betrayal would’ve made more sense if she was pregnant with Jon’s child.

No way Varys would just sit there and accept his death, completely against his character. He is not just the spider, he is a survivor. After his castration, he decides to live just to spite the sorcerer and he sells what other parts are left of him to survive.
Now after such schemes and struggles, he just dies in such a stupid way.

He stayed loyal to the realm but he paid the price of it. Daenerys warned him.

Varys just did what he had always done; discredit and plot against a ruler that he doesn’t like. “Jon is man…” what a great reason to find him more suitable to rule. Daenerys shouldn’t get him nor Tyrion as advisors.

Did Varys try to reason with Dany? Yes, just once. Was it enough? no. What did he do next? he betrayed her. What do you do with a person who betrays you? you kill it (in GOT universe) and that was what Daenerys warned Varys from the beginning. Did he deserved that end? Completely. I would do the same after having lost almost everything and having saved the lives of half the world.

How did Tyrion have the right to rat him out when he discussed TREASON at length with HIM…..???????

I dont know why 'she's gone mad' when others in the series have beheading disloyal subjects since day 1. How many did Ned Stark behead ? Jon Snow ? Robb ? Not to mention the Lannisters. But she gets the 'she's gone mad' label. Poor excuse for rushing to end the show.

This moment royally pissed me off. Not just that Varys was killed, but that he was just waiting in his office when they came for him.

The man was cunning, intelligent and a master of disguise. Ten unsullied should hae marched tae his chamber, found nothing and eleven unsullied should hae left.

The shock deaths were just that awful writing style of D&D that is further evidence that they are hack writers.

Varys kinda sucked in the show though, like throughout the entire tv show. So, I wasn’t too hurt by his loss, good riddance lol
