I fell in love with the Kingstar truck campers. We came very close to buying one, but my husband felt it was too small for our needs and we went with a Class C motorhome. You might consider them, small manufacturer but fantastic quality.

Arctic fox is better insulation

We have bought two new truck campers over the years, a 2013 Lance 850, then a 2018 Arctic Fox 990. The slide out on the 990 makes a huge difference. We bought the 990 from Tom's in Mesa, great buying experience.

New to your channel. We are fixing to do some camping. Maybe we will run across each other some day.

Whatever your choice is Larry, NO SLIDES, if something is going to fail it will be slides. Especially Swintek gear systems need level conditions and lube.

That Lance has a lot of weathering on the exterior. It appears that it's been stored outdoors. Smart to keep looking.

The question is where are you gonna put your green chair lol you have to take it with you. It is the coolest thing in there.

I liked the Lance, especially the dry bathroom and the slide-out. There's also room for a wood burning stove opposite the entrance, alongside the couch!

Artic Fox 990 matches nice with a 3500 dual wheel. Not too much weight and still has a good size slide out.

Have you tried Michigan Trailer Sales in Phoenix? My folks bought their Lance Legend 880 years back. They did right by them.

Hey, I just drove by Blue Compass in Surprise (11611W Bell Rd). They had several truck campers on the lot. If you're back in Phoenix, it may be worth a look.

It blows my mind how expensive campers are, even used ones. My Dad bought an 11’ honey bee pickup camper for 8’ bed in 1969 for $1,250.00 brand new.

Larry, I hear nothing but good things about Lance. Quality campers but usually high price because of it. Their trailers is all I have seen.

Have you considered a fifth wheel

Blue Mesa RV in Mesa Arizona has 77 Truck Campers on their sales lot. Forget the slide-out. They are notorious for leaking air and water as they age. RV repair technicians hate them. Plus you have the extra weight and maintenance to worry about. Happy shopping.

Your truck can handle that Lance with no problems.

You must look at arctic fox truck campers first like the 990 or 811 then compare all the rest to that. Most importantly look how they are built. Research is the key 🔑

I think you should keep the one u have and just redo bathroom really. It’s you. Plus where else you gonna find one w a hot wood stove?? ❤

Word of advice from a fellow big guy,,,try and find one with a outdoor shower, not as cramped and room to move,,,also water does not fill up the tanks, I am 6'3 300 pounds, so the outdoor shower option works perfect ,,just my opinion

Lance and Arctic Fox, find one that fits.

Just make sure you pull the slide outs in on any rv you buy its really deceiving on how little space you have and alot you cannot even use the toilet even in toyhaulers with the slideouts in you can get rvs alot less than sticker low ball you can always go up in price when your willing to walk you will save alot.
