Its 732 am 5years later. Here i am. Wonders never cease.
ОтветитьHerlin Riley's performance on percussion is amazing, both on this video and on CD.
ОтветитьI recorded this whole event on VHS, today I have it copied on DVD
ОтветитьThis was a wonderful show, creatively allowing each performer to express themselves. They were all very impressive, thank you very much
ОтветитьFantástico! Saludos.
ОтветитьWas lucky enough to flip this on live in 1999, as a high school student, Amazing playing and composing!!
ОтветитьI too remember videotaping this on VHS. Great stuff.
ОтветитьNot sure of the broadcast date, but it was recorded on June 26th 1998. I know this because I was in the audience for the concert on my first date with my first wife 😀
ОтветитьIts 453am. I could not sleep. Somewhere in the back of my consciousness I sang the phrase big train in the east. Big train in the west and God allowed me to find this refrain I'd heard in this PBS special 20 years ago It was a remarkable evening. Thank you for taping it.
ОтветитьSaw them for Ellington's 100th tour, about a year after this performance.
Ответитьthere are times when I sit and listen to Ryan's trumpet solos and say to myself at points he's actually a better trumpet player than Wynton. Not trying to say Wyntons bad no in fact he's an amazing trumpet player but at times Ryan proves to be better when you listen to his solos
ОтветитьRyan Kisor..!
ОтветитьI know this is old...but Ryan Kisor is KILLIN'!
ОтветитьI think this aired on PBS in 1998, possible early 98. I have a VHS of this Live at Lincoln Center broadcast somewhere. I may have worn it out I watched it so many times! Such a huge influence as a trumpet player and musician!
ОтветитьFabulous vibe. Don't you just love JAZZ!
ОтветитьYes indeed...this is a lot of creativity. Thanks Wynton!
ОтветитьThank you! I too recoded this, but lost it. Much better then the CD recording.
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful piece. Thanks !
ОтветитьThank you so much. I have been patiently waiting.
