Waldy is overly dramatic. Any human can look at the structure and determine if it is beauty, brilliant, or not without the golley, gee, gaga, emotion.. The structure in this video is not great, but it is good. There are other structures, Mosques, or Madrasas that are more beautiful because the calligraphy and geometricly sculpted facades. Here the structural beauty, nor the engineering, match Notre Dame Cathedrale, in France. I am not Catholic or Jewish, however, I can sense, or determine the spiritual girth in most Western catherdrals. What I do sense about the Dome of Thd Rock is the location built on top of Jewish history. That is only powerful from an earthly dynamic because relgion of Jesus is Spirit, not matter. The matter gave direction and matter's use ended after the Spirit transformed. Matter was Solomon's message. Then, regarding beauty, Faisal Mosque in Pakistan has beauty and the over all religious books and woven tapestries of early Islam are elegant, depending the period and region of Islam.

These series are amazing. One small thing to note though: bağlama music used in the background of Jordan Prince's palace. Bağlama was brought to Anatolia by Turks much later, and it was only marginally taken up by Arabs. On these shots, it sounds like an unfortunate mismatch!

In islam the art is haram and so is modern and posmpdern science. Islamic countries have not produced any nobel laureatesnor winners in science ( we are jot talking about muslim immigrants to the westernsocieties). It was only due to the conquering of almost every major continent were the Muslims able to get their hands on scientific communities among the "infidels". But once those were indoctrinated into Islamic beliefs, ot was all downhill from there. The miracle of Islam is that a people or a country who follows it , gets to go back again to the 7th century. We are not talking about Quatar or Saudi Arabia: they had invited all the experts from the western world to build their country from scratch. There were no Muslim scientists that could have done that.

Art , Architecture Music etc. where lost. And the mostly Greek speaking scientists died off... that's why since then we had no new golden Islamic Years!!

Octagon shape was mentioned as the most efficient shape to hold anything in Q'uran. Bees store honey in octagon shapes...Your explanation of earth and sky as the symbol of octagon is not accurate. Earth was never described as flat by Islam. Everything in Q'uran has deep scientific explanation which the science discovered with time and still not all of it.

I love how Islam stole so many existing buildings from Christians and Judaism and how people only converted by the sword. It was in the scriptures, to subjugate the masses who would not convert by paying the Jizya (tax) and live as second class citizens. But Islam has not made any significant impact on society in 1000 years.
