Brown rice has a higher agglutination factor than white rice, which means it can, in theory, thicken/increase the blood viscosity. This can worsen circulation and contribute to chronic conditions in those who already eat a poor/Standard American Diet. It’s all about balance. I prefer white but also eat brown when my body wants it. It’s important to feel into what is right for you, because each of us processes foods differently. I was happy to see a range of articles here for us to research in more detail!
ОтветитьBrown rice has arsenic in it and, over time, this can lead to I believe stomach cancer. By over time, I mean over many, many years. It’s likely fine if you don’t eat too much, but exposure over time can harm you because even just a little exposure is bad for you and it adds up over time.
ОтветитьSo... White rice if you eat it once a week, brown rice if you eat it daily
ОтветитьI ate brown rice once. It went through in 6 hours. Never again.
ОтветитьPassing brown rice as a healthy alternative to write rice was the biggest scam people have ever fallen for. Eat jasmine rice, it’s the best healthiest rice out there
ОтветитьI have a quarterly consumption of PANDAN JASMINE RICE sent by mail for my daily diet, and since I admit myself to the Belgian " Diabetes 2 Traject", my dietician, and, the doctors, told me to eat "brown rice", by which I tried, but the first consumation of it was already bad!!! It "smelled" like our filipino pig's food!!! So, I went back to my oh so delicious and nice smelling "gold" of a rice - the PANDAN JASMINE RICE!!!I'm a Filipina; not a boar!!!!rolfmao
ОтветитьJust add lentils to the white rice to get more fibre 😊
ОтветитьBrown rice just has so much more flavor
ОтветитьSo Joe Rogan was wrong 🤯
ОтветитьI'm hard pressed at the moment to find definitive sources, but "many posts" suggest there was a direct relationship between the adoption of white/milled rice in Asia and cases of beriberi / Thiamine deficiency IMHO the idea of stripping a natural product of its nutritional content, then artificially adding it back so people don't get sick (they do this with flour and rice), is a bit disturbing, and part of a wider culture of entitlement, convenience, and technology-fueled hedonism that is slowly eating our civilization away. I don't think that sort of mentality is sustainable if we want to avoid dystopia by a thousand cuts.
ОтветитьI have been eating brown rice my whole life everyday
Ответитьhe's callin me fat :/
ОтветитьAdvice, when cooking brown rice soak in water 30 minutes before cooking it. Another thing, cook it with chicken broth instead of water. It gives it flavor.
Ответитьthat’s why you should soak the rice for atleast an hour before cooking to reduce the arsenic levels.
ОтветитьEveryone is a doctor.
ОтветитьEverything in your kitchen that’s white is worse for you than it’s colored counterpart and that goes for bread Brown/White= Wheat is better for you. Brown/ Beached White Sugar= Brown raw sugar is best for you. Sweet Potato/ Regular White Potato= Sweet Potato 🍠 has far greater health benefits than regular white meat potato, Brown Rice/ White Rice= As seen here brown rice is better for you and the list goes on and on. Wheat spaghetti much more better for you than white enriched spaghetti. No big secret
ОтветитьHigher in arsenic?
ОтветитьArsenic..... ?
ОтветитьWhat about Lectins?!
ОтветитьTell someone from the asian culture that brown rice are healthier - the same culture that outlive western people and eat way more rice than us.... you might get a panda tossed at you
ОтветитьAs someone who's Asian American, my love for rice is not much of a secret. However, I'm more prone to eating white rice than brown rice. With portion control being a struggle, and especially when it comes to carbs, I feel as if my palette is definitely in need of some adjustments as well as my habits overall when it comes to consumption. I just hate how being healthy takes constant effort, and I wasn't diagnosed with the risk of Type-2 diabetes until in my later 20's... taking baby steps seems to be the only viable approach when it comes to making lasting changes.
ОтветитьScientists and doctors keep saying for decades, “don’t/shouldn’t eat rice, rice is this, rice is that”, more and more people including them/ their families consume more rice everyday.😂 the dearth of rice is happening now!
ОтветитьThere is nothing traditional about white rice. White rice was rare before the 1870s and everyone ate brown rice. As soon as cheap white rice became available in the 1870s people gradually switched over (and a Beriberi epidemic ensued in many places). People now stupidly assume that people always ate white rice because they do not know history
ОтветитьStatins are more dangerous than brown rice, statins increase your risk of getting diabetes
ОтветитьStatins are more dangerous than brown rice, statins increase your risk of getting diabetes
ОтветитьI started eating brown rice because I'm doing a no salt diet and white rice without salt is awful. Because I'm came to the conclusion that the less procesed the food, the better it taste without salt, I tried brown rice and taste pretty good.
ОтветитьBrown rice has high levels of Arsenic
ОтветитьI still prefer the taste, texture, and versatility of white rice over brown but this was an insightful video nonetheless
ОтветитьQuestion? If brown rice is the best choice then why are the japs and Chinese eating white rice for hundreds of years??? They have the longest lives. I think that trumps your studies
ОтветитьThe science is wrong here, just as it was decades ago with eggs and cholesterol, remember that?
Blue zones in japan and Italy where white rice is chosen over brown are just one hard data clue.
I really like your beard. :)
ОтветитьBrown rice tastes like....not nice things. If I could eat you though....
ОтветитьWhite rice is literally better for yoj
ОтветитьWell, obviously brown is healthier, it doesn't taste as good and takes longer to cook. 😏
ОтветитьContrary to popular belief, there is no arsenic in rice.
ОтветитьWhite rice for kids and brown rice for adult.
Ответитьif you sprout brown rice you minimize the phytate, and it's easier to cook. 20 min. in a rice cooker.
ОтветитьI just hope if I eat it in my rice and gravy that it doesn't make it taste weird. The brown rice I mean, I'm thinking about switching to brown rice because it seems healthier. I don't eat rice as often as I used to because it leaves me bloated and makes me gain weight, but I'd like to enjoy rice and gravy more often.
ОтветитьVery informative.
ОтветитьThanks for the video and information
Ответитьすまんが俺からしたらどっちも米じゃあねぇんだわ
Ответить"These arent such a big deal, unless you're eating rice everyday."
Rice and asian culture discrimination I guess?
Did he wind up telling us which is healthier, more nutritious?
ОтветитьYou can only have diabetes if you eat rice and bread on that same day….thats why back in the days…bread was just part of snacks during my childhood days…we seldom eat bread…and if we eat bread 🥖 it is non sugary bread called pandesal it only have salts in it ….for back in the days
there’s not mich fastfood center…we only ate natural foods back then…unlike now…too many junkfoods amd eatery…which is really dangerous.
Rice is safe but now theres fake rice 👿so evil are those country that selling plastic rice.
This video was brought to you by… Brown rice
ОтветитьI would be more concerned about what you put in that rice. Oil?, meat?, cheese!?, spaghetti sauce? That's the problem. I find that with brown rice I don't need to use oil when cooking since the grains already stick much less than white rice. I also find it has a more natural flavor so I don't need to add anything to it.
ОтветитьExactly what is an anti nutrient? That's a very vague description
Ответить
