As an American I found the gripe about the acting being bad in Japan kinda funny... What country makes good movies outside of America? Not really any lol, movies are very much an American dominated art form. I can't even think of a single good movie from Australia. The French are decent movie makers, but their movies are very France-centric and do little to appeal to global audiences. Canada occasionally makes a good movie, but even then a bunch of the cast/crew are Americans.
ОтветитьFor TV acting, i agree but Japan has some fucking incredible films with amazing acting. Tony Takitani is a personal favorite of mine
Ответитьwhats a hanko
Ответить外人達は簡単に判子無くせとか言ってるけどそんな事したら全国のはんこ屋が潰れてそこで働いてる人達路頭に迷う事になるけどそれも考えて言ってるの?
Ответитьyou are charged a fee to take out your own money because you are using a network of ATM the bank has to rent, no bank in the world owns a single ATM. ATM manufacturers lease the machines to the banks for huge fees on every service, I know because I worked in a bank and I had to talk to the ATM company, they charge for installation, changing a simple icon in the screen, any new feature, if they have a new promotion, they change it. Sometimes the bank hires programmers to make changes tot he ATM but there is a fee charged to deploy the modifications to all the ATMs
having a cash card is not a bad option, it has its benefits for security, because if a thieve steals your card when you are at the ATM, you can easily cancel it in the mobile phone, without canceling your debit card that you use for paying other things and without waiting for a new one. However I think is a better option to have just one and in the mobile app of the bank have the ability to create virtual cards where you can put separate limits and you can renew the security code or even the number.
If they think Japanese kids study too hard they should see Korea and china.
Ответить"Anime to rea-life shitu desu."
I am 100% japanese in that regard.
演技に関しては人によるとしか思わない。
海外作品見て演技が上手いとも思わないし、日本がオーバーとも思わない。
実写は全てクソなのは共通してるみたいだ
I think the acting one was a bit unfair. You should compare these drama's to the western soaps which are usually very bad in acting and writing. There are some amazing Japanese movies actors and movies.
ОтветитьThese guys dont watch actually real japanese directors like Kore-eda,kiyoshi kurasawa etc. You would know they are like 10 times better than any hollywood director. And ever heard of Koji yakusho?? hello?
ОтветитьNice hit piece my guy.
ОтветитьEveryone can agree that live action anime adaptations are crap. Just leave it in media it's already in ffs
ОтветитьWhat's so much worse about stamps for foreigners is that you can't just go to a corner shop and buy a Hanko. Ain't no one carrying a premade hanko with my uncommon-ass name. For Japanese, especially if you've got a basic bitch name like 佐藤 or 鈴木 or 山田 or something, it's much easier to just find one quickly.
That said, after nearly a decade here, I had to use it literally twice. First time to open my bank account (which I later realized was NOT necessary, as plenty of banks accept signatures. I just didn't know any better, my first week in Japan and all. And second time to rent an apartment (when I did it without a company helping me, as I was a freelancer at the time).
The most Japanese thing ever.
Trash taste : we don't like Japanese dramas.
Japanese girl : well I think Korean dramas are shit as well.
Nobody brought up Korea chill.
The guy in the red hoody is literally me.
ОтветитьAwwz. This was cute!
ОтветитьWait. So Hanko aren't personalized? Like a signature made into a stamp? Who would even think that's slightly safe?
Also, as someone that used to forge his teachers signatures in middle school (not on tests. Just in the notebook where I had to write down all my homework and show it to my parents), nah. It's not easy to fake a signature. I spent 3 years doing that and my dads buddy, who actually did shit like comparig signatures for the police, could tell the difference with complete accuracy when I asked him to. And I practiced for ~1h every day for 3 years. (I should have just done my damn homework instead. xD)
Wouldnt now be the best time to get a japanese education? Since there is so little competition
Ответитьi thought the live action of.. rurouni kenshin and gintama was good. But yea the majority are just uncomfortable to watch. The acting part.. I always thought its normal, i just watch it in a different way i guess. and im bias towards jdrama vs kdrama. japanese shows are just more quirky.
ОтветитьPaying to use your own money and hanko system is a drag but there are so many good things people really appreciate about Japan and japanese people. I feel like it was just one sided argument.
Ответитьめっちゃ関西弁じゃんww
ОтветитьDebit/cash cards are the same in Switzerland
Ответитьtrash taste is...trash
ОтветитьI’m gonna make a video reacting to you reacting to them reacting to Trash Taste
ОтветитьI feel like some Japanese acting is so bad because they try so hard to imitate anime and its just. Cringe. Like the things characters do and act like in anime is only acceptable because they are *not really people*, but then seeing a real person do those same movements, say those same things, exaggerate that same way (unless its clearly satire) is just too much and unrealistic -and if it IS realistic... Ew.
ОтветитьI watched Death Note live action and thought it was good 😭😭😭😭
ОтветитьI feel like it would have been good to include the part where the TT boys clarify that Japanese cinema acting is entirely different to, and often much better than, Japanese TV acting. I remember much of the discussion revolving around their confusion over why Japanese TV acting was so much worse than Japanese movie acting.
Ответитьmost of live actions I saw mostly sucked, in particular due to anime dominance, usually everything is bit over the top in many ways even when it doesn't have to be. Also alot of creative decisions are honestly not in favor of the work its taking from, either it veers completely away from story or it simply breaks it some way or it could simply be horrendous execution. This is because the quality of anime or manga is hard to adapt into reality in many situations. For example, something like One piece needs a GRAND budget otherwise it can't be made presentable, I agree to that honestly...even with a big budget, they still have to cut off alot of parts, mess up alot of original parts, remove alot of side characters entirely to make it happen. They did try to keep the setting more or less the same in grand scheme of things but not every show had the direction to pull it off. In this case Oda sensei himself sat down to make it work and warned them that he'll pull the plug if they dont do justice to the material, but honestly how many artists have such leverage? very few.
ОтветитьI'd love to see more videos of japanese people reacting to Trash Taste. Their food takes are interesting and I know they have a lot more episodes talking about their experiences living in Japan. Things like key money just seem so weird.
ОтветитьI know this video is massive bait for people who watch trash taste, but I couldn't resist. It's a shame that the answer is that all the Japanese people you spoke to mostly shrugged and said yeah, sometimes the thing they said is true, but not always. Would have been more interesting to get a wider variety of responses, but then again maybe it's the japanese way to always answer mildly.
ОтветитьI think it is good to see Japanese get a perspective from outsiders on what they view could be improved but I also want to see the Japanese maintain their rich culture & traditions. Things passed down for centuries or longer can completely dissapear within a few generations.
ОтветитьI’m happy to say that the one piece live action Netflix series is not that bad actually.
Ответить‘thats just how the system works’ universally a pathetic response to anything 👍
ОтветитьI can't stand K-dramas. They are so padded. Essentially the events of an entire season of a k-drama could happen over the course of a couple episodes of any sanely paced show but for some reason they just drag it out and stretch the very limited conflicts to the absolute most absurd extremes. So much filler and contrivance to keep the show going for just few more episodes.
ОтветитьOn the credit card/debit card/cash card thing. I think Japanese people are just so used to paying in cash but also paying things off. I know payment options are extremely popular in Japan and that's what many people do. I wonder if they know about the interest though..
ОтветитьThat’s why Japan needs to stop voting for dinosaurs and vote for some younger people who are more technologically savvy.
ОтветитьI can't agree with the acting one. I've seen some really great Japanese movies/dramas. I think he's watching too much sitcom television, which admittedly isn't the best in any country.
ОтветитьIn western Education you dont say what you want, maybe only America is like that, but in Irleand where I am from the teacher is your boss and you get loads of tests near the end.
Ответитьlame
Ответитьomg trash taste becoming main stream in japan would b a dream come true
Ответитьhahaha the hanko thing.... i swear the stamp thing is so silly. they have it in korea too i think. it's just so stupid they should get rid of it already.
ОтветитьCrazy, people in my city have to ask if the store/restaurant even accepts Cash. Everything is tap to pay now.
ОтветитьI love the idea of showing such terrible videos to regular people minding their business on the street
ОтветитьI wish Yuta would have shown them the clip where theh complain about Jalanese work culture and how everything requires permission
Ответитьthe bank / card issue:
the older couple: this makes no sense
the younger people: this how the system works
ah Japan I fucking love you
I mean, the live action japanese stuff is still better than the filipino drama acting... Ugh...
Dont know how they stand that over there... Its like a giant fake hispanic drama, jusy with weird taglish interspersed and with veeery bad cgi
Japan exaggerates in their entertainment a lot. Not in a bad way but it does not always work. For anime the characters and scenes are sometimes very exaggerated. Larger muscles or feminine parts with the characters movements being very bold or physically impossible. In Tv is always over enthusiastic facial expressions or body movements. Hard to explain fully without comparing them. In the Godzilla movies America originally did it so it was very dark and less destructive. Japan always made Godzilla a little more cartoon like with how it fought and how entire towns were destroyed. Avengers might be based on a Comic but a lot of the exaggeration seen in the comic is limited for the movie's. Japan however keeps the comedy and exaggeration inside for theirs trying to keep it close to the original which just makes them less serious and goofy which does not always work. The very thing which makes studio Ghibli work, doesn't always for all of Japan's media but they all use it.
This is really hard to explain what I mean so sorry if it does not make much sense. In short although western and Japan media both exaggerate, Japan feels like it over exaggerates for live action. This makes their comics and anime better but the movies worst.
