I feel like none of us who watched this video (or have read up on the Lodge) will ever see it now if it does truly exist. I feel like given its nature that knowing of its existence beforehand would be cheating, and I feel like it would have some stricture about that.

Now what happens if you resist the temptation, but when you lose the addiction, you go back to doing the thing in your normal life again (in moderation)? Will the addiction return? Will you not be able to get addicted again and just be able to enjoy it in moderation? Will you just not like it anymore? What happens? And what about other addictions? Can you still get those? Can you do it multiple times with multiple addictions? Everything CAN be an addiction, will it work with everything? Can you go in normally and find a normal tent and find your addiction if you re-enter it after getting one?

Also I wonder how it treats people with multiple, or instead particularly subtle addictions.

As an addict in recovery, I have to say you did a good job portraying addiction. Thank you for enchasing your story with truth and showing people a side of what we go through.

When I first heard of SCP-666, I thought it was an irredeemable anomaly that torments its victims for amusement. But apparently even with the Devil's Number, there is an angelic side, as well. And the fact that it can miraculously destroy your addiction makes it even better.

2 points I'd like to make.
1) To the recovering addicts in these comments wishing this SCP was real, you did watch the parts that specify that this SCP is as likely to kill you as cure you, right?
2) Because this SCP can harm as well as heal, the designation "666" is not appropriate, as the number itself suggests omni-malevolence. Better to use a number (or combination of numbers) to suggest this SCP's dual nature. Example: "13" is extremely unlucky in Christianity, but blessed in Judaism.
