It's hard to precisely describe, but I really love the style of 80s and 90s movies. There's something about they way they are filmed. The longer pauses. The pacing of the scenes. I just prefer the way they are made compared to modern movies.

I don't understand the older sister's facial expressions throughout the scenes with Uncle Buck. Is this a case of bad acting?
From the get go I undestand she for some reason hates the guy ('Unfortunately'), then she mocks him for not remembering the younger sister's name. Why does she smile after that?
Then, when she leaves the kitchen, she stops to turn and look at Uncle Buck thoughtfully. What does this even mean?

I loved John Candy growing up. I hadn't seen this movie in a really really long time and thought it was time.. Man, I'm not going to lie cuz the guy is dead and all but, not that funny. Some chuckles here and there but not really that funny. I was kind of disappointed to be honest. oh well
