For those of you who are concerned about the weight lifting guy... the weight didn't fall on his head if you looked carefully 🫠

Yeah, ants are a pain when they do this, especially crazy ants, those ones will always seek out your electronics.
I had a personal laptop I used for work a few years back and was surprised one day it stopped charging, had to open the power brick and lo and behold, tons of red crazy ants skittering around, had to vacuum them off, brush some off and spray everything with alcohol and use a soft bristle tootbrush to scrub of any pheromones they may have had left in the power brick. And viola the charger worked again.

i've had something similar when ants infested my laptop charger for some reason and when i opened it, it seemed like the fuse inside was blown.

This is not a normal circuit breaker, this is an RCD circuit breaker, it is made for ground fault protection, so when there is a current leak, for example, it is connected to the phase and neutral, and if there is any current that is not passing through the neutral and going somewhere else, it trips, it is basically a protection against shocks, very similar to the GFCI, the ants are basically causing current leak and making the RCD trip, an ant would hardly cause a short circuit with enough current to trip a normal circuit breaker, to be fair is almost impossible.

You can see it is an RCD by the blue test button.

as a guy working in construction, it's not that hard to believe that ants can trigger circuit breakers.
