I dont know if you remember but echidna said that there was never “that person”, she was waiting for Beatrice to choose her own person to be “that person”. That’s why subaru isn’t going to be “that person” for Beatrice until she chooses him to be.

The "choose me, pick me" thing that Rana said at the beginning was from Grey's Anatomy btw

They mentioned multiple times throughout the series that Beatrice is a spirit.

Its been said multiple times that Echidna was Roswaal’s teacher, Ram is not Roswaal’s teacher.

The whole concept of “that person” was a messed up prank video by Echidna, Subaru lying about being that person would only feed into that. That’s why its important to have Beatrice choose him herself.

At this point im glad they have an id so they dont forget their name and birthday.

I can tell just by the comments that they didn't understand the whole situation with Beatrice so it's not worth wasting my time with this reaction.

After watching this reaction, I'm so glad I stopped watching their reactions to this.
Especially after they stated they switched to dub so they wouldn't miss so much...

It feels like it's not worth watching a reaction unless they have someone who has seen the series already to remind them of the constant things they forget and get wrong or it's a comedy where it doesn't matter.

As a fan of Re:Zero I want to personally apologise to The Normies for what appears to be the most toxic fan-base to date picking apart every one of your reactions. I didn't realise Re:Zero fans were so gate-keepy and needy. Sad.

Guys stop complaining to the normies, instead complain to the patreon request that thought re:zero was the best isekai to start watching, they should have watched more generic isekais like SAO and smartphone isekai THEN watch Re:zero so that they could appreciate it more and then watch konosuba for the laughs

(Honestly the only thing I can clarify, is that when Roswaal was talking about his teacher, he was talking about Echidna, because without the book telling him the future he felt lost and no longer knew what to do)

echidna put her soul and the soul of the other witches inside one ryuzu clone called omega , there shouldve been a thing in the last episode for it but it was cut , they might add it in season 3

i don't get these comments saying its a forced reaction, they've binged 3 episodes in a row with a meal break in between. And it's not like they can watch this anime forever since its ending soon and they're gonna watch something else after this.

This was my favorite chapter and nearly my favorite episode too the people who work on the anime did a really good job!

To make it clear, Echidna told Beatrice to wait for someone to take the library from her. Who? That person who comes to take it. Echidna never meant it to be anyone in particular, but Beatrice who looks up to Echidna as a mother, assumed it would be someone special, someone made known— either Echidna or Roswaal would tell her or someone would say they were there for the library or maybe the book would make it known. Beatrice was supposed to give it away but endlessly waited to be told who to give it to. What does the now dead Echidna think of Beatrice’s error? She thinks it’s neat as hell. She wonders how long Beatrice will wait.

Beatrice is a spirit so she is very emotional, lives endlessly, can’t kill herself, and treats contracts as unbreakable. While bound to the library, she met people on rare occasion but mainly kept her hope live via the book. From what I’ve noticed, the book tells the story of how the reader achieves their greatest desire— the path to their desired future. Once Beatrice stopped desiring anything, the pages went blank, and that just reinforced her despair.

Subaru realized that to truly free Beatrice, he has to get Beatrice to choose to leave. If he lies and says he’s “that person”, she will never believe she is free and it will haunt her for eternity. But she is trapped by the sunk-cost fallacy, that waiting 400 years had to mean something. She had to face that she was alone for 400 years because she chose to be due to her mistake, and the pain of that was proving too much to bare. But Subaru finally got her to face it and move past it— you can always start over (he should know), there’s always a new tomorrow. And she was crying his name when she finally made the choice to leave.
