Character Vault: Cyberpunk RED Edgerunner Character Creation Tutorial

i dont understand a part of making a netrunner with edgerunner.
it says Science (choose 1) it doesnt seem like it expands on that anywhere in the book..id like to know exactly what that means.. lol, im so confused that they took the simple solo class, and used it for the examples in the book. bad choice.

wait so do the default 2 points in a skill take away from your 86 point total?
