So if you had to choose between this and a Samsung 980 Pro for the same price for mixed desktop workloads, which would you get?
ОтветитьGreat informative video. Bought this one over Samsung's 980 Pro just to give this one a chance. I think it will be just fine for years to come.
ОтветитьPs5 ready
ОтветитьWhy is this video 14 minutes? So sick of meandering fluff generators. Get to the point, give us the info, and then get out of our lives.
ОтветитьAfter watching this I checked my SSD make/model, found out it was Crucial, downloaded the toolbox (Crucial Storage Executive), and it wouldn't even open... then I couldn't even find a support email address on their site 😂
ОтветитьJust got the 2TB version of this SSD and found it to perform under advertised speeds. I get 6800/4900 MB/s testing for peak sequential performance using Crystal Disk Mark. Is this to be expected or did I get bad silicon? Temp runs low, peaking at 63 C during a 150 GB transfer. Not sure what is going on. Reviews suggest it runs hot.
ОтветитьThis or Samsung 980 Pro?
ОтветитьTrying to grasp this aspect for my first computer build. I intend to use it for my small business. Learning Resolve, Blender&Sketchup, and a few graphics design programs like Inkscape and GIMP.
I keep seeing advice to run multiple drives. Should I get a smaller on and put OS only? OS and Programs? Run a slower SSD for scratch and other temporary use data?
This stuff is confusing as I'm planning the build to meet the needs for programs I have never used.
I'd rather save a few bucks where possible. Was originally looking at the Sabrent Rocket.
does this use TLC, MLC or SLC Caching please?
ОтветитьIf I put the sn850 in a m2 gen 3.0 I lost performance?
Ответитьhow long would it take to boot with this?
ОтветитьHow can I migrate from PCI 3 to 4 is there a clone Software?
ОтветитьYawn sesh
ОтветитьHi, I've read all the comments and watched the whole video, but I still don't understand what the graphs/benchmarks you show in the video mean to me as a person with a specific workflow. My English is not the best, but I hope you understand me. If I want to buy two NVMe SSDs: one 1TB NVMe as a dedicated OS/Programs (maybe 1-2 Games) drive ... and one 1TB just as a dedicated Adobe Cache & Scratch drive ... Which NVMe whould you choose for the best performance for exactly those two specific tasks? The 980 Pro or the SN850? I've read your other replies that both are great and I should get which is cheaper atm. But prizes are the same for me in my country and even if not I wouldn't care about that small price difference. I hope you can explain me please which SSD is better for each individual task. I would be so grateful for an answer! Keep the videos coming :)
Ответитьcan this ssd run for over 3 years without getting broken?
ОтветитьLamest jokes in the world for sure.... I nearly fell asleep watching this video. 😳
ОтветитьDubedy black
Ответитьthank you for the review, I am leaning with you guys
ОтветитьI bought this drive an now my pc takes longer to post than it does to actually boot xD
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьIs the WD_BLACK SN850 can be placed in a laptop? (my concern is the thermal issue....)
