DON’T CHOOSE WRONG! New Playstation Pulse Elite Headset vs Pulse 3D Headset…HONEST REVIEW

Damn i’ve had this mic forever and didn’t know about this feature. I always mute myself 😭

I currently have the Pulse 3D’s and am thinking of upgrading. Do the Elite’s have the same issue that I can’t change the volume on the fly using the Dualsense Edge with the Fn buttons? Apparently that only works when they are wired. 😢

I chose wrong

So the elites are more comfortable and more user friendly. What about battery life and backwards compatibility? I sometimes play my ps3 and use my OG pulses. Only problem is I can’t use Bluetooth and the mic. I would buy the elites simply for that backwards compatibility. I do like that AI audio as well. Also those ear cups are a dealbreaker for me anyway. Please let me know about battery and backwards compatibility. That may change my mind. So far I say just buy the H9s since you can’t buy new ear cups but hopefully someone will let me know different.

I have never regretted a purchase more in my life than buying this headset. The design is absolutely infuriating especially that ridiculous flashlight that constantly glares right in front of your face. Who thought that was a good idea? It’s distracting, obnoxious, and serves zero purpose.
If I had the money, I’d buy out the entire company just to smash every last one of these headsets to pieces on camera. That’s how much I hate it. I honestly feel like the people responsible for designing this monstrosity should face the consequences for creating something so horrendous.
This headset is a waste of money, an exercise in frustration, and proof that not every product deserves to be on the market. If you’re thinking about buying it, just don’t. Save your money, your sanity, and avoid the rage I’m feeling right now. Worst headset ever.
And To the so-called ‘designers’ of this disgraceful piece of trash: what on Earth were you thinking? Seriously, I’m convinced a bunch of blindfolded monkeys could’ve come up with a better design. Did you all sit around a table and say, ‘Let’s see how utterly infuriating we can make this thing’? Because congratulations, you’ve succeeded in creating a masterpiece of idiocy.
The flashlight? It’s the cherry on top of this dumpster fireblazing right in your face like a mockery of any functional design principle. It’s like your idea of innovation is to take everything that makes sense and deliberately do the opposite. If you had any sense of mechanics, taste, or even a shred of basic design intelligence, you’d realize how absurd this thing looks and feels.
This headset isn’t just a failure; it’s a testament to your utter lack of understanding of how anything works. It’s like you’ve never even seen a functioning product in your life. I wouldn’t trust you to design a spoon, let alone something as complex as a headset. If I were you, I’d feel embarrassed to have my name attached to this monstrosity. This isn’t a headset it’s a monument to incompetence, and you should be ashamed for unleashing it on the world.

Yo I don’t know if you’ll see this. My main problem with the pulse 3D is that after a while it’s hurting behind my ears because of my glasses. Are the elite better for longer gaming sessions?

I bought the pulse elites I’ll just use the warranty to fix them if needed.

Can I hear my own voice in game chat?

So many times I’ve been told by people in
my house that im too loud. If I hear my voice I can speak accordingly. If I can’t I’m very loud.

Can the PlayStation portal work with elite headphones

To keep it a buck. The Pulse 3D set has really good sound. I cannot count how many times playing PUBG I caught someone creeping around off the slightest and faint sound around me. A+ sound design. The fake leather comes off the ear cuffs though.

To bad you made click anither video when you talked about the earcups bit able to be removed from the elite. Its title; i was wrokg. Made me think you did find out how to remove them. Yet its a video from another reviee?! Kinda confusing to put the link there

Not having volume r9cker and other buttons on the pulse elite, for me makes it less godd. Not sure ehy you maade such issue of these buttons as you showed you solution. For the pulse elite, only that solution now will do. But now i need to fumble in sub menus. I rrslly like those buttons, same as the old ps4 headset has

What they use real leather on the 3d? Thats superior to that fake shit. I remember my ild ps4 headset, it started to crumble with8n couple months. Looked so darn cheap and bad

Isn't the 3d kinds like the PS4 one. That's also different move. Only after very long session did I get some pressure issue. But very curious for that pulse. Shitty thing though, where I live they charge way more due to import :( so it's more like $142 and $200... Sucks but there is no really other option, if I ship it myself, the price ain't that different

How's the noise reduction. Will it filter out noises from the AC or a fan?

Ima be honest. Ive got both elite and maxwell and I still think pulse 3d sounds better and is more comfortable without that pressurised seal around my ears.
Planars are objectively better but it’s so analytical. Dynamic driver like on pulse 3d is just so much more balanced and well… dynamic.
And pulse 3d is much lighter.

The OG ones aren't real leather. Mine are peeling so bad atm.

I’ve been thinking about getting elite headset because I’ve been using cheap £20 turtle beach headset for 3+ yrs there good but when I’m playing competitive games I’m at a disadvantage

We can fix the groceries this November by voting out the people that jacked up the gas from $1.50 a gallon to $4.00 a gallon. That is why everything costs so much more right now. Happy to see someone is getting the message out. Great point too. If you can't afford to buy things for entertainment that you could in the past, ask yourself what has changed? Hmmmm

Please don't buy pulse elite...ear cups are so painful, feels too heavy on head..surely will regret after buying...mines just sleeping in corner and waiting for wicked cushion earcups

the microphone was great, and they were very comfortable but mine are already beginning to fall apart after just a few months. It's not the leather on the earcups that went bad either. There's already a seam in the middle of the headset near where the soft plastic inner halo thing attaches to the headset and my headset just straight cracked exactly where that seam is. where the darker color plastic and lighter color plastic from the top come together. The overall curviness of this device means it doesn't have a very solid structure to begin with and having that seam there is just a weak point that basically means it's a matter of time until it deteriorates.

Great video! I have a huge head and the 3D are the only headphones I’ve used that actually fit my head. Someday if I need to, I may upgrade to the Elite. 👍

Would you rate them above the explorer ear buds ?

I swapped my pulse 3d for a pair of Nova 7p's. They are way more comfortable in my opinion.

The Playsation portal was a huge miss in my opinion. PlayStation link is another miss. Playsation just needs to allow regular ass Bluetooth devices without having to connect a USB. Back to the portal, it should have been able to play it's own games without relying on connectivity to the PS5

I upgraded to the elite... Some of the changes made piss me off... The control buttons on the OG headset are superior. Being able to change your audio settings to focus on party chat or game audio right on the OG headset was amazing and was completely ditched for the new ones. The new power button having multiple functions is annoying as fuck. The mute button being on the mic makes no sense. And the number 1 thing that pisses me off with the new headset is that if I have any extended play session the headset just randomly disconnects. It disconnects without fail every single time. Then I have to mess around with the dumbass multifunction power button. Beyond those issues, they do sound amazing

Work in the ps4 pro?

You can also Mute the Voice chat by pressing the ps5 button in the middle of the controller and going to the sound option. Easier then going to the settings in game.

I have another pair of Sony headphones and they have the same multi buttons on the one side and you can’t tell what’s what without taking it off
