Many thanks for your time reviewing Hd1 radio! This review was six years ago, do you think Retevis have fixed ongoing issues since then? Do you have most recent review/testing videos on this hd1? I am thinking of buying one but dwelling between hd1 and hd2? I've seen Hd2 are not as clean radios but have more functions.... I would be very thankful if you could give me your professional advice? Kind regards
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this video and info
Last week I was gifted one of these. My brother W9GFH near Chicago uses DMR.
I am near Nashville Tennessee 73 de AA4SH
as good as theses video's are ,, what output power are the radios kicking out ,,, and i noticed u was on stock antenna but the other guy was in a house ? on what antenna ??
ОтветитьTest it inside the city bet it wont reach 20 miles …
ОтветитьI purchased the Ailunce HD1 GPS model , I had to return the radio due to the short battery life , the standard HD1 battery life is fine .
I turned the GPS off & the radio still drained the battery in no time , I even swapped the battery & the radio was still power hungry .
Thank you for sharing as always .
I was wondering if this radio can be programmed for UHF PMR 446 ?.
I've tried to comunicate with a friend who are 1km appart from me at a urban enviorement and the result was no good: we don't listen to each other at VHF, just at UHF. In analog mode we do listen each other loud and clear both in UHF and VHF. We use a Baofeng DM-1701 with openGD77 and the same TS and CC.
Ответитьthis HT Stability Frequency is 1 ppm. motorola Xir is 0.5 ppm. majority is 2.5 ppm.
ОтветитьSe u again kamerad..
If... I must buy only one product,
Ailunce hd1 vs alinco dj md5.. which one should i buy?
Thx
Does this have the ptt tone like Motorola radios do ?
ОтветитьNot best modulation and reception though...
ОтветитьI use this at my business on FRS/GMRS. Needed something heavier duty compared to the tiny Motorolas that look like toys.
ОтветитьHello sir. I ordered this radio because there are so many videos by you on how it works. :}
ОтветитьBrilliant & really helpful videos . I was wondering if this model will work on dpmr 446 ?
ОтветитьDMR definitely cleaner
ОтветитьRecently passed my foundation license and I'm thinking this will be a good radio for starting out with.
ОтветитьAre you concerned using a 10W portable regarding RF energy near your head. I am reading mixed things, and also realize that Retevis may overestimate the power. Just wondering your opinion.
ОтветитьWhy no repeaters?
ОтветитьGreat video, I’m about to buy this radio for my local police and ham
ОтветитьWhat power was the radio on, high, med or low
ОтветитьHi Lewis, I see that Roydon has his radio in it's cradle whilst in use, is this ok for all types of hand held radios? I have an HD1, thanks. M7KSD
ОтветитьNot sure if should sell my Wouxun KG-UV9d+ and Radioditiy RD-5R to buy this, is it easier to use, please?
ОтветитьI can pick buxton up from home sat in bed 19.9 miles exactly
ОтветитьHOW DOES IT WORK ON OUTDOOR ANTENNA
ОтветитьBeing able to see the HD1 screen when you were in the car shows how good the screen is unless it is in bright light. Your studio lighting is excellent for when you are talking to the camera. I hope you can find a way to change the lighting for closeups when the screen needs to be visible, since it was quite washed out in your previous video. (Video &sound quality are superb, by the way.)

What is the music?
ОтветитьCan I connect with baofeng dm5r?
ОтветитьHey Lewis, when charging your HD1 does your base get extremely hot and smell like it is burning ? Unfortunately mine does and it's kinda worrying to charge it ! Daydd M6ULU
ОтветитьHi Lewis, just a noobie question: in analog mode, this radio transmits all over UHF band (400-480) or it is limited to transmit in ham UHF range 430-440?
ОтветитьHave seen and read a number of favourable reviews for this new brand from the Retevis stable. Have decided to take the plunge and see how it performs out and about as well as with pi-star around the house. Many thanks for your interesting and varied videos. Assume you gave up on recovering the drone from the canal bed!
Ответитьthat never turned out like I wanted it to say it changed things that I never noticed before posting. It was meant to say "so good a radio I can hear it here, no wait it was cause you were doing it on the video. Lol
ОтветитьTake care Lewis watch all your videos keep up good work take care mark from Loughborough Leicestershire CT 2674
ОтветитьAnother good video as always looks good handheld take care mark from Loughborough Leicestershire CT 2674
ОтветитьGreat video! The audio coming out of the TYT seems muffled. I've read other reports where people complain about low audio transmitted from the HD1. The speaker in the HD1, however, is no slouch.
ОтветитьFantastic review as usual - M6OEW
ОтветитьThanks for the new HD1 video Lewis! As always, great stuff. It would be interesting, for your own curiosity, to use one of the free on line path profile calculators to see exactly what the RF path is/should be like especially on the longer range tests like this one. Quite often the "computer says no" when in fact the RF path does just about scrape through! Great work, 73 Brian EI8EJB
ОтветитьGood test and yes, with DMR, it's all or nothing but the quality of the audio compared to analogue, at distance, is really impressive. Thanks for the test. 73
ОтветитьGood stuff as always! I'm reallyu considering getting one of those radios myself. If it had VHF as well I probably would've bought one already to be fair. Still seems like a smashing bit of kit though. I'm a bit torn between the HD1 and the TYT MD-2017, which does VHF/UHF analog and DMR
ОтветитьNot seen this radio before. Seems a new make every week. Cannot knock the cost at which they can knock these out. Good video, sound and lighting spot on.
