In July, my wife and I separated after 14 years together. She got the 400,000 dollar house. I was a raging alcoholic. I was in a job I hated and desperately needed to get out of. I was on 3 different anxiety and depression medications. My life was spiraling out of control and I didn’t know what I was going to do or how to make myself better.

I stumbled upon Mr. Goggins. This man has saved me. It’s crazy to think how one man can influence another this way.

I looked myself in the mirror, and said to myself enough is enough. I’m going to man up and figure shit out. Everything I’ve done, I’ve done alone, in my own head, challenging myself to be better. When my wife left me in July of this year, I got my own really cool apartment (man cave). Then from that point I was going to better myself. Do me for a while. (While also having 50/50 custody of our kids).

From July til now… I quit drinking totally. Got a new job which I love! I started a vigorous workout routine and lost 27 lbs and counting. I got off ALL social media. I went through my phone and got rid of any toxic contacts I had . I made my circle extremely small. I got off my anxiety meds. I no longer use my sleep apnea machine. I made some really good sober people. And I’m just getting started. I feel better than I ever have.

This morning I ran 8k. It's not much, but I'm working on increasing it. I signed up for my 1st Triathlon and my 1st 40 mile cycle race. Not bad for 68 years young. Bring it on, don't stop when your tired stop when your done.

Idk if anyone will ever read this but I wanna put this out there in the world I’m 17 my names Zayne Jarrett from England and my dream is to be in the England’s squad and play as a centre my whole life I was fat and I could never play it but I’m learning now and I might not be there yet but I fully believe I am capable of doing it, it’s always on my mind because I want to be the best in the world and I believe it now because I lost 10 stone, I stopped fitting in, I have no mum, no dad, I’m in care right now, I want this more than anyone and one day I hope I get to tell the whole world my story.

I have yearly writing success cause i do it alone. I just wrote 200 pages of great literary art alone, i lost 80 lbs alone, i am alone all day besides 1 hour and workshops.

I lost 50lbs in a little less than 6 months. No pat on the backs. No workout partners. Just strong will, determination, consistency, discipline and self accountability. I get so revved up thinking I did that and no one helped me get there. I didnt need anyone to get there. I can do anything, and my problems are only as strong as my resolve is weak.

I watched this then went out to my local park, found 5he longest, steepest hill and put in the laps. I felt sick, quads were fried but I kept going until the uncomfortable dizzy feeling.
I needed this. Breakups are brutal.

This guy isn’t motivational. He’s a pompous ass who preaches dangerous things. Human beings are wired for connection. Having good people in your life is fundamental for physical and emotional well being. Especially as we age. Understanding that you have to be your own motivation and have discipline is healthy, but He’s basically saying f all people and be superior to everyone else. Stay alone forever and don’t let anyone in. There are already so many emotionally unavailable men out there. He’s adding fuel to the fire. Clearly this man has a lot of trauma. He needs a therapist. He’s building narcissistic a-holes. This world has enough of those.
