I really really love all these lines and what a talent Jimmy is. Not personal but I think sometimes shows like this do further solidify stereotypes about Asian culture, which in my opinion does not even exist. The same to western world you don’t often hear the phrase “European culture”. I didn’t realize how important to recognize this cause Eastern Asia is a way different concept than Southern Asia. And even within Eastern Asia, china, Japan and Korea are all very very different in their cultural predispositions. I noticed some white people and even we as Asians like to generalize and assume all Asians share the same cultures. But I understand stand ups comedies many times rely on these extortions to create a unique dynamic for laughters but may just for audience to be aware.

Hey Jimmy! It’s only rich people who let you know how much they have by the little things they say. Every now and she just mentions something like it’s just her everyday way of living like all of Us do. “I have one of those, I don’t know, six burner clean stoves and my marble counter really helps.” (Oh really.) I was going to my church near 5th Ave, after I went to Saks (“5th Ave”). I went out for my birthday with my family. We had a good time. (How great!) I had a salmon appetizer and then some fillet mignon. (I don’t even get that to home cook!!!)
Or, I went to Bali during the summer and then went to my house in Montaugh (very rich area at the of Long Island., NY) We finally found the perfect apartment in the city (NYC). After the family grew up in our country house in Boston, we wanted a change.

He’s one hundred percent - the old guy who cooks in the Chinese restaurant - we have that in San Pedro (California) for real, he described the cook at Nim Chan’s to a Tee, including the wife-beater shirt and cigarette hanging out of his mouth, cooks anything on the menu in thirty seconds.!! Love this guy, he’s too real, too funny not to laugh out loud.
