That's exactly what I was struggling for this long thanks❤
ОтветитьAmazing! Now can you fix my thought stuttering?
ОтветитьAs an overthinker and fast speaker, I possess this issue. I cut out that idea that whoever speaks fast is more confident. I would be so pissed that i cant get the words out fully and be perceived wrongfully. Started writing stuff down if the setting let me. 😢😊
ОтветитьAmazing discovery, solution and formula.
Ответитьthoughts shouldnt be faster than your words. I like that about her said
ОтветитьI had a similar problem
Did a few vocal exercises and started taking pauses when i speak (which gives more clarity & time to form sentences)
And within a few weeks or a month , i could speak way more clearly
But practice is important
Try to be consistent
Also Vinh Giang's content is gold
I have 2 add on questions to this issue:
Some people will perceive you slow or not smart, especially in debates or tense talks.
Would you use the same skills here or do something similar to them? With practice of the mention skills you will get faster?
Blessings
Genius stuff
ОтветитьOk so I do all of this. I had speech therapy when I was a child. I had issues with the hard R sound, which in America my name is a hard R sound (thats extremely embarrassing to stutter over your own name) and also th sounds. So the word the is hard for me. I stutter over it. But its not every time I use the word the. Ive gotten it to where 85% of the time I say the word the or my name, I am fine and don’t stutter. But the remainder of the time is just so frustrating.
ОтветитьI have essential tremor and completely breakdown when trying to provide information to others or happen to be in the spotlight. Because of my shaking it distracts me from my message. For some reason I do extremely well in virtual presentations as well as teaching yoga when I'm not the object of attention. I have a new job that requires more confidence and authority. Will definitely look at different ways I can work with you. Trying not to hold back my potential because of this disability. So uncomfortable 😢
So many neurodiverse people out there that need individuals like yourself to make the impossible seem possible
how 😲I prepared this question for masterclasses Q&A, but got the answer now 😂
ОтветитьVinh you're a magician :-)
Ответитьthe ad I got for this video was this exact video. Lol
ОтветитьA book I found, Stop Stuttering Short Course: How to Break the Stuttering Code, helped me immensely. That book helped me way more than my speech therapist ever did for me.
Ответитьthose are actually really good tips, thank you!
ОтветитьWouldn’t it be considered singing when speaking?
ОтветитьI stumbled upon your videos when searching how to become a more confident speaker, I have a tik tok where I eventually want to share life stories as we all have a story to tell. But I cringe so hard every time I record myself speaking. I decided to practice and apply your tips. My plan is to record myself speaking on certain topics for a month or two and hopefully improve so I can finally start posting my videos. As a long life introvert and social anxiety sufferer I want to build my confidence
ОтветитьNo need to slow down thinking, try to compress meaning in little sentences ,then it will make your brain work and also you to speak efficiently
ОтветитьThanks I suffer from stammer and have been waiting on a video like this. More would be so helpful
ОтветитьPersonally I prefer speeding my brain way up, but pausing my speech to think for a moment, before speaking in full sentences.
ОтветитьHow is it possible to slow thinking down when I have to speak infront of An audience? There is a tendency to start the speech immediately when we enter the stage , hence there are multiple thoughts running in and out about the topic all the time....Hope you read this Vinh and give some of your insights....These are great tips nonetheless 👍
ОтветитьAmazing, you are Awesome Vinh
ОтветитьI have a bad habit of speaking loud can you make a video about it?
ОтветитьWe givin' this advice to xqc🙏
ОтветитьI think this could help me. Thanks 🙏
ОтветитьThis is exactly the problem I have in my life. It's hard for people to understand me because my mouth keep trying to catch up with the speak I'm thinking, which always ended up with stutter.
ОтветитьI too had this problem, Tips:
1) Loosen your body.
2) Control your breathing, many times we dont breathe from stomach but chest. BREATHE FROM STOMACH..
3) Challenge yourself more often.
Thank you for sharing your tips on vocal fluency - it's great to see people supporting each other here.
I did want to mention that your headline might be a bit misleading. While your tips are definitely helpful, I think it's important to recognise that stuttering management is complex and can be different for everyone. Your tips might not be a complete fix for everyone, but they could certainly be a useful addition to someone's toolkit.
I'm in my sixties and have been a lifelong stutterer, so I know how challenging it can be. I've found that managing my fluency requires a range of techniques and protocols, which I have worked on continually over my lifetime, and I'm very happy with the results I have achieved.
For others, it might be different. Fatigue, stress and anxiety can all play a role (they do for me), so it's important to have a variety of strategies to help manage stuttering.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my perspective. Good luck to everyone on your journey - it's tough, but it can also be incredibly rewarding with the strength of character and confidence it builds 💫
I am telling you guys most of us have this problem but the more we focus on it it gets worse 😅
ОтветитьEven I’m facing this & puberphonia problem also
ОтветитьYou stammer when you don't have content to speak.
ОтветитьI've tried to address my stutter by slowing my speech down, but I've found what's happening is that when I slow down and try to be more methodical, the energy level of my speech slows down and people start to think I'm uninterested. This has proven to be a major obstacle during my job search, as I've been told on a few occasions that I seemed disinterested, which is not the case at all.
ОтветитьOMG I just learned the word staccato today and realised that I have been talking like this since I was born 😭. Thank you so much. At least I knew where to start practicing my speaking skills.
ОтветитьWetata you are a great teacher
Ответитьmake more detailed video on this problem of stuttering and stammering or just speaking too fast to understand
ОтветитьStuttering for 35 years and I think I’ve found the cure 😊
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video, it helped me a lot, I also had this problem in between the conversation 👍⛅
ОтветитьVery nice solution
ОтветитьThis is amazing. Many years of speech therapy and this was never mentioned!!!!!!
ОтветитьU are the best bro
Ответитьig he was able to do that because he wasn’t thinking because he knew what he had to say.. Can memorising situations be a way out? but as an overthinker i would think which is the right for that situation
ОтветитьGrowing up in Florida in the 90’s, my two speech teachers were from Australia. They did an amazing job and I really don’t stutter at the age of 40, except sometimes on the phone.
ОтветитьWhat a knowledgeable guy , really explained everything so clearly and narrowed down the problem straight away ...
ОтветитьThanks so much for the help! I stutter a lot and it gets really annoying and this helped a lot!
