Can we ever get a person to do these talks, that can go more then 20 seconds without using "UM" over & over. You sound like you have no clue of the info you are talking about & during questions it makes you sound as though you are trying to take the time to come up with a lie. Please get people that DO NOT USE THE WORD "UM" all the time as a filler word, you all look like morons when you are suppose to be intelligent!

When I took a public speaking course we were penalized for Umms and Uhhhs. Theyd use a clicker and tally then against you. Later I read several articles stating that when people completely remove them from speeches they are less understood. The uhhs and umms allow people to process instead of just hearing. If you have removed them remember to pause after important ideas.
