Why they are shaving the dog? Don't they take too long to grow it's coat back?

I'm worried, please help. My husky's coat was shaved off. I thought that they were just going to leave a layer to give him a summer cut, plus I didn't do much research (regret- First time pet owner🤦🏾‍♀️😞). How do I take care of him now? When the coat grows back, how does it look like?

At first I was like WHY and really hurt to see him being shaved down, so had to look at comments about the reason this is happening. Poor pup hope he is better.

I shaved my rescue husky also because of medical reasons. He was malnourised. We really think he has bad skin underneath that needs to be addressed. We dont go for beauty. We go for health. We love him even with less fur as long as he is healthy & happy.
Although he has less fur yet, he is a happy dog now..and thats all that matters to us.

Poor thing they should commit to dog and take care of it as a child if ur getting one mainly double coat it’s coat is a complete mess I brush my husky everyday his coat is so beautiful only thing I ask groomers is for is like a small cutting near paws and tail to like make them look good
