If Game Awards was to occur right now I would vote for Like a Dragon 8, not only it isn't a remake, but it is a really well done and creative game. We have too many remakes nowadays.

Shadow of the erdtree had 1 flaw in that a lot of the world felt empty at times. Other than that it was a 9.999 /10. Im excited about space marines 2 but i think so far wu kong deserves it.

The contenders so far will prob b: dragons dogma 2, ff rebirth, wu kong, and (if its allowed to compete) elden ring.

Unfortunately it feels like helldivers 2 fell off recently but the year isnt over. Its another great year for games

Is it just me or this year we don't have good GOTY competition.

Rebirth deserves it! This game perfectly captured the essence of the original while bringing it to a new age. It was deep, funny, engaging, tactical, massive and most importantly: it respected its players.

Favorite so far is Like a Dragon Inifinite Wealth and Kunistu Gami: Path of the Goddess.

Skipping unicorn overlord even in this stacked year is a crime.. Even if rebirth is still goty for me

2024 the year of RPGs 😂 💀 the industry has been a cycle of trend chasing. 1 company tries something different then most people want a slice of the same pie until they burn it to the ground. I’m tired of this trend where a genre gets popular and then people get sick of it.

Stellar Blade is better than a lot of these. Challenging and rewarding combat, and feels old school with its boss challenge mode. Also, there are no cheap DLC tricks. Sad it's not being considered.

Hades 2 isn't officially released yet....still early access, which basically just means crowd sourced play testing that the play testers pay for 😆
