I always go back to his lectures each time i fell into relapse. It some sort relax my nervous system a bit knowing that sometimes or smtg we can't control everything but learning about it kinda helps us to establish our vision of ourselves.
ОтветитьDoes it mean we can prevent crime with environment conditioning start from the time of conception and the age of the parents?
ОтветитьThe Swedish army are having a ball now😅😂
Ответить
ОтветитьAfter a few mins of what he said i was thinking, “did i just commit a crime without knowing lol”.😅😅

ОтветитьAmazing orator and great presence of wisdom 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
ОтветитьId say violent aggressive behavior would be benicial to defend yourself against a lion
ОтветитьHow can anyone like this banal claptrap? Yea, true biology matters a lot. There's absolutely nothing new here except what everyone already knows.
ОтветитьTed +. I'm not a Ted person but like the speaker and will give this two thumbs up.
ОтветитьThe guy is a miserable representation of what western science has led us to believe that everything even their delusions can be handled with a logical and materialistic approach, good thing glory days of West are coming to an end soon
Ответитьoh my god that actually is from the book I'm currently reading!
ОтветитьThen do it! Prove the world you will not be replaced really soon by a robot.
ОтветитьIt is always interesting if we talk about social behaviour because a tribe has dominantly different perspective to others in term of undergoing their live. Now we could imagine how many tribes existing in this wonderful planet. Thus, it will be eternal journey to learn all of their cycles.
ОтветитьWhat an amazing talk. I hung on his every word.
ОтветитьProf. Sapolski is my god :)
Well, not really my god, but he sure is up there for being the most important animal/human behavioral biochemist - ever!!! I love the lectures he gives at Stanford!! Only one theory I do Not agree with him, on which I do not, :) is that all our decisions and actions are predetermined .
Okay, I’m a kid. a classmate trips me and I fall in a weird way! My leg is broken and I now have a limp - and with my head injury, I can’t smell anymore. That’s not predetermined. and depending on whether he’s teased or supported at school? That changes everything one way to another way. Am I now predetermined to act in certain way? Or the man in the 19th century who had the pipe go through his left (right?) brain, and he lived, although his personality changed - and he went into rages. Behavior completely changed!!! A girl in her early 20’s, has quite a number of quite bad experiences. These change how her brain is wired. You do Not behave in the same way after that, and I don’t see how your decisions and behavior is already determined, cause your brain is all mixed up! This happens every day in little ways for good or bad which change your behavior.
Yes, you are born with certain personality traits and brain chemistry which influences you, but they don’t decide your every move.
The biology of decisions is lost on me, like how is one to be informed enough to make a change that will end with the results you are looking for. If every change comes with a new can of worms to unravel, and it would take a lifetime to investigate, how can we prove any decision is right?
Ответить👍
ОтветитьThis is how Behave begins.
ОтветитьHe had a Walther, not a Luger.
ОтветитьThe amygdala is larger in self-identified "conservatives." They also have more nightmares and feelings of inability to control their lives. I'm sorry I can't provide links, read of these matters some decades ago. Before "conservatives" became MAGA violent outcomes.
ОтветитьCan we acknowledge how fortunate we are to have a modern day philosopher of peace and higher evolution among us?
ОтветитьI am 40 years old, I am electrician but with this video I have decided change my career, I going to start to study psicology. This matter is the most important thing in this day for me.
ОтветитьAnd the big question I made for the people who studied the science of human behavior is: How create a culture of peace between human beings like the Star Trek. I know the answers is complicated, but can we do it?
ОтветитьI love this lecture. It always reframes the way I think about things.
ОтветитьWe say, "Money is the root of all evil,"
yet we adorn our coins with the images of our heroes.

ОтветитьSapolsky's work is a gift to humanity.
ОтветитьThis world needs Julian Assange free. A free man can speak and communicate freely. He remains a hostage.

ОтветитьTurtles all the way down!!! I'm buying and wearing Turtles now to represent doctor I'm putting the lime in the coconut
ОтветитьFinally! I saw this and forgot about it when it first came out. Then I saw his lectures on biology and thought "Where do I know him from?" This dude is really near the top of his field. Great to finally figure out why I thought I already knew him.
ОтветитьGreat lecture ❤❤
Ответитьthe us vs them concept it always so interesting because all it would take for a change of heart is to pivot the scales in which we place blame, there is no us vs them in poverty, or under the classes, its only the broke vs the rich and always will be
Ответитьyou wanna do what to adolf? you're not going to do nothing but sit there and turn into ash
ОтветитьThis stand up comedian knows a lot about human biology.
ОтветитьThis is great 🖤 thank you!
ОтветитьIt's great and motivational, but how multitudes of opposite stories, when humans turned from benevolent to vicious? We are certainly capable of turning in both directions
